I could be a billionaire and I really don't see my self justifying almost $1000USD on an office chair

my current one is a $90 special from a office store - ive had it for a year

They have a new lower priced Herman Miller chair...but I can't recall what they call it. It might be a little more than 250...but it would be worth it.

Spend now and save money in chiropractor visits down the line.
I assume you work alot and spend a large chunk of your life sitting on that chair

This is the Herman Miller Equa XR (medium, fabric) and it's the best chair I could possibly find. I looked at a lot of the ergo office chair places and sat in chairs that cost thousands of dollars. This one cost me $300 from Costco.

I kept buying $500 chairs and they kept breaking, backs would snap off and I'd tumble out backwards onto my hardwood floors. Got old, and painful.

I ended up getting pissed, and picked up a $20 used shitty looking chair from craigslist over a year ago. I just have to tighten the screws on the bottom every couple weeks and it's worked great. Fairly comfortable too.

I had a nice leather one but the back broke off it when I was bangin some milf on it. Now I have some cheap pos. Time for a new one.

I bought a 90.00 chair from Office Max a couple years ago, and it works fine.

I have a Herman Miller Aeron/Graphite.
Love it.

I've had my eye on this one from ikea for a while:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80117765

It's super comfy (especially if you ever sit indian style in your chair) I'm not too hip on the price though. Ikea always has a huge after xmas sale, maybe if they mark it down this year I'll finally pick it up.

It's not that I cringe at paying that much for an office chair, I just think if I'm gonna drop that much change I should get a choice of fabrics. Gray wool doesn't really do it for me. Chair would be alot hotter in white or black leatherette.

Looking for a new one too but I can't decide. Should be a comfortable one.

Sit in a herman miller for 8 hours, just for one day.

See how you feel about things then.

My next chair will be a herman miller. I'm a big guy (6'5 255lbs) and I've gone thru 2 of the 250.00 'big and tall' managers chairs from office depot this year.(bought both on sale for 150/ea)

The foam used in the seat bottom compresses really quickly and seat height piston wears out.

When this one hits that point, I"ve decided it's worth the money for the Miller chair.

Exoclick 12-20-2010 08:06 AM

Using this one right now, I liked the style but it's actually not super comfortable. ($500)

Got this one for my home office : (About $100 I think)

It's from IKEA and very comfortable.

BareBacked 12-20-2010 08:37 AM

Get a herman miller and be done with it.

That Ikea stuff is typical Ikea crap. Might look nice but has no function

WebairGerard 12-20-2010 09:43 AM

checking the herman miller chairs too. time to upgrade.
