My toilet seat sees a full moon eclipse pretty much every day! Want me to post pics?
|
Too cloudy here to have seen it :(

It was raining here all night so I had zero chance of seeing it. I'd love to see some pics!
:( |
I was asleep.
|
I was drunk...
|
I've tried many times to get a decent shot of the moon and failed so I didn't bother getting up for this one :Oh crap

Check this out a bunch here
http://crowdreel.com/search?q=lunar I met the guys behind this site a while ago. They aggregate all pics posted on Twitter to give you a snapshot of what's happening in the world. Pretty cool for stuff like this. |
it was quite a sight where I live. since I have the habit of working at night I got to see pretty much the whole thing.
something that was pretty was as the eclipse was ending, about 5am, venus was rising in the east, so you had the moon in the west with just a bit of shadow along its bottom edge, and venus was blazing bright in the east, looking like one of those cartoon christmas stars with rays shooting out. the moments at the beginning and end of totality were fucking cool. oddly, the white flash that marks the beginning and end were not on opposite sides. the beginning of totality flash was at about 3oclock on the moon's face, whiule the end of totality flash happened at about 12oclock. |
