Mainstream equivalent of GFY?
 

We all know GFY is for Adult networking. However i have grown to realize many of us also play in the mainstream traffic world. Besides webmasterworld.com, what other "hidden gems" of forums, communities, sites have you found for non-adult traffic networking?

This product is actually a legal plan for people losing their homes to foreclosure.

Its priced for people/homes that hold a mortgage of 150K or higher, and are either 30+ days behind, or fear it is in their near future. The slogan is "We focus on keeping families in their homes". The concept is that versus high attorney retainer fees and costly hourly rates for a low rate of approx $500 monthly, the foreclosure case is fought by a team of high powered attorneys. In some cases the home has been won out right, in other cases the foreclosure process has been delayed up to 5 years. This is an alternative to those people who do not wish to duck their heads in the sand, but rather retain counsel and fight for their home.

Any other ideas? Im all eyes and ears.

ottopottomouse - that is an excellent question, in fact it was the first one i asked as well. Truth is I do not expect anyone to do anything. Its just an option for those home owner who choose to fight back.

150K is how the bet is hedged in the home owners favor, a 150K mortgage will be more than double the 500$ monthly fee, during which time the mortgage is not expected to be paid.

Here are some fun facts - out of 10 applications, only 1 will be approved for loan modification, about 90% are NOT approved. Sadly a vast majority of major loans from large banking institutes show predatory lending traits, which are not legal. A lawyer can find these illegal banker flaws and fix this in a loan, which is not a modification, but rather a permanent solution to a bad situation.

If a solution is found in 30 days its a 1 time payment, if the case takes 6 months, well then its more, etc.

Many people will not want to fight and they will loose their home without a question (usually within 12 months, faster in some US states - even with court backlogs), however, some (not all) of those people that choose to fight back will retain their home, and they will likely not do it without legal counsel.

Most people could never afford the typical 5K retainer, and 500per hour rates of a single attorney, so when you think about a 500$ flat month legal "plan", it makes sense.

Regardless, Im not looking to release this on GFY, or in adult traffic, but was hopeful that the genius traffic guys in adult might also have a few mainstream connections, that help me avoid the ad networks.

There are, for sure, many mainstream forums (google is your friend) but none as fun as GFY :)

If you want to feel like Einstein, play around on some of the mainstream forums. While there are some serious heavy hitters making mad dollars. There are also a lot of little kiddies fighting over crumbs and thinking they are ballin.

So take the worst of GFY, and multiple it by 100.

I've been on digital point a few times and some of the answers I've revived have sucked.

I was asking from a user POV, such as which forum others had tried?, which had value?, etc. But ... you did answer my second thread of "How do i search Google" and for that i thank you. :winkwink:
