Question For Affiliates!: Signup Bonus?
What do you think would be a realistic signup bonus for affilation with an adult website?
What gets your attention and gets you motivated to sign up and promote? Thanks in advance for your replies! |
totally useless sally

don't care, only care about actual conversions.

$1k would be fine :)

A program gave me a signup bonus once ($100), though they didn't advertise it. They then didn't convert after after 4000 clicks, but it made me stick with them for longer compared to if I had had nothing. Also they made it seem like the $100 might have been an actual sale, but it was from the first click on the banner on the day when I put the banner live
1 month ago I joined a new program, they were telling him how amazing they were, after I sent them 2000 uniques there were no sales, I could have stayed a bit longer, but I pulled them as I didn't like the thought my traffic was being wasted. |

I also look at the way the program is structured to see if I consider it fair and conductive to actually getting signups credited to me. You'd probably also be surprised how the lack of needed promo tools can prevent an affiliate from promoting you. Another thing I like to do is look at who owns the program and how they act. People might laugh but I've avoided trouble by doing this and by paying attention. |
Perhaps you could say once you've sent 20,000 visitors you get sent some type of gift, so as even if sales aren't going so well they might still stick around

Keep'em comin'! I'm getting really thoughtful replies here!

100$ added to the first sale
|
I like the idea of an added bonus. LeRoy and DTI gives you $75 just to sign up, but with a minimum payout level set at $200, which is fair.
For $100 I would definitely sign up and try a program for say a month or so. If it converts, I'd definetly stay on and keep sending traffic. No conversions and you're out. |
whatever satancash gave.

There have been some programs in the past that did something I liked. You sign up and get a bonus based on the number of sales you send. For example, once you send 10 signups you get $100 bonus, once send 50 singups you get a second $500 bonus and so on.
It wouldn't need to be ongoing. You could just say, "after you send (insert number of signups) we will give you a bonus of (amount)." |
guaranteed conversions would be nice...
"We'll pay you $200 just for trying us out, send 5k clicks and earn at least $200 no matter how many sales you actually convert"... |

For this one, better have a very high converting program as well as a ton of money in the bank to start! I do wonder though, just where the incentive lies after the first $200? Considering such a plan though and thanks for you input! |
