they talk shit about everything american but it's clear they love us! what they should talk shit though is top gear america- wow what a shitty show. they copied everything but the humor. and they just don't get it whatsoever. the episode with the f150 velicoraptor for instance, they had stig take the damn rig around the lap. it would of been much much cooler, funny and typical american to have him cut across the infield and finish in like 15 seconds, be at the top of the leader board. hiliarious! but no.

I'm not a fan of Chevy or even Corvettes, but I have to admit the high end Vettes are nice and super fast.

I call bullshit. I don't believe for a second that the driver in the Charger went off the road while trying to burn rubber near the end. This show really treats their audience like idiots. Do they really expect us that a show like this would hire a driver who would over correct on a simple tire burn? Any safe driver would let go of the gas and hit the breaks before going off the road. And do they really think with all those cameras and all that coverage that would wouldn't catch this supposed off-road accident?

I'll never trust this idiot and this stupid show ever since they were caught flat-out lying about the performance and reliability of of 1 car just to bump up another last summer (Tesla).

i always loved the Corvette, the C4 was one of my dreamcars when i was younger - but over here it simply screams redlight, pimp or drugdealer when you drive one.

don´t like this program... the vette has enough hump to draft from the lambo the guy could do better if he was driving instead of talking and driving.

i see. i'm shopping new tires for my 4x4 now. would like to get some crazy cool tires like those but the fact is i'm only offroad ~10% of the time and that time is split between desert, mud and track. my nitto all-terrain grapplers have worked pretty well overall and have lasted 45000 miles so i will prolly get another set as much as i'd like to get something crazy.

i was pretty impressed at the longevity of my tires on a friend of mines jeep that rolls a lot on asphalt but not as good as your current ones.

my jeep is my toy and is offroad only so yeah i can use those without worrying about burning them going shopping :)

i am in the process of upgrading the v8 overhauling putting more pep and if all goes well a supercharger.

the ZR1 is the only American car I would ever consider buying. still, I am just a sucker for German sports cars. sidenote: Clarkson owns a Ford GT.

I love my corvette and it's much faster than my old 308. Not rich enough to have both at the same time but I have had both at one time or another and corvette wins.

I dove the vette for 7 years with 350 HP, now I have the V with 556 HPand love it... gonna look at vettes when this lease if up winter 2013, right when the C7 comes out :thumbsup

I drive through Paso Robles a few times a year.. and I love vette's as well, try the new V out tho

Im pretty sure he doesnt anymore, i'm sure they said something about him selling it at a loss.
He was always moaning that it broke down every trip he took in it and it spent more time at Ford's getting fixed than in his garage.

Top Gear is a great show, but they will never say anything positive about an American car.

With that said, not a huge fan of Vettes. They just scream redneck, and they look so outdated after every re-design. To many chicks drive them to, so it borders on being a chick car. I came close to buying one, but I'm not a balding 40 year old white guy with a beer gut, so it didn't fit me. Went with the Benz instead :)

Just because the AMG cars make a ton of power doesn't mean you can compare them to Vettes, or Vettes to AMG cars. Totally different leagues.

AMG cars are quick, fast luxury cars.

Vettes are quick, fast sports cars. They aren't really meant to be super nice on the inside, they're meant to go fast straight, turn fast, and look good on the outside.

A ZR1 has a similar price point to an an E63AMG and is more expensive than a C series AMG (I considered a ZR1 purchase). For that price, I would like something other than plastic parts inside. My E63 has 500 HP and can do 0-60 in 4.0. It looks good and is classy (mines kinda mean with the carbon fiber and rims :) ).

With that said, the ZR1 is a beast. Just not my cup of tea.

Saw his GT40 at the RPM show a couple of years back and he actually sold it pretty quickly as it constantly broke down.
