Fuck You ALERT PAY !! Stay far away from them !!!

I sold a spot on my network and the person that bought the spot, said they could pay me through Alert Pay which I didn't have an account, so I opened one. Well, I verified everything, so they could send me the payment and went to pull the money out of my account and then they sent me a notice that they needed more information from me, that they canceled my out wire, so I sent them the information and then resubmitted it, well, they canceled it again and said they're gonna hold the funds for 90 days because my site is "adult" related. How the fuck are the rest of you people using AlertPay without any problems ???

Jdoughs 12-23-2010 12:26 PM

Pretty sure there is no legal reason to hold your funds for that.

seeandsee 12-23-2010 12:33 PM

They saw your are moving funds from them, and that is problem probably :((

You need to register your account as adult beacuse then it's higher fees then usual, and if they figure out how you didnt do that, then they hold your moonies. That is clearly stated in their tos.

djroof 12-23-2010 01:08 PM

that sucks...

MrCain 12-23-2010 01:13 PM

While we are talking about unprofessional behavior, let's talk about that email you sent to your 'clients' with all the email addresses in the TO field.

Chosen 12-23-2010 04:37 PM

One more reason not to use them...

BIGTYMER 12-23-2010 04:40 PM

I use them and never once have had a problem. And I use them for adult stuff.

Slick 12-23-2010 06:43 PM

I never knew there was a way to sign up for an adult account, the person that sent me the money, just gave a link to sign up for, I never new there was an adult section or way to signup, never noticed it when I signed up. You'd think they'd just simply tell me that though and switch me over.

I'd call them. If you give them a chance I'm sure you'll love them.

BJ 12-23-2010 06:54 PM

what was suspicious to them is that you opened an account, received one payment, and wanted to withdraw almost immediately. If it was only a few hundred dollars then i agree its bullshit. was it a big payment?

Slick 12-23-2010 07:02 PM

Well, they wanted me to show them my site with a "terms of service" url and a url for "refunds" and stuff, it's like I just want to pull my money out of the account, why jump through the hoops. So I called them and the guy on the phone told me to just email their security department and explain that I'm just selling links on my sites, that there's no actual site to sell anything and the funds should be able to be released right away, so I did that and then I get the email that my site is adult related and I now have to wait up to 90 days to get my money, that's pretty fucked up.

If there's a way to signup for an adult version of Alert Pay, I'd like to know, you'd think that the guy on the phone would've just told me that they could switch me over to adult rather than this bullshit.

What I really don't like if the fact that their security department won't talk to anyone on the phone, how stupid is that, especially when they're holding people's money like this.

I got in a $600 payment and they took almost $30 out, so there's $570 sitting there.

I've called them a couple of times Bigtymer and the people there are nice, but they just run me around in circles it seems.

Agent 488 12-23-2010 10:14 PM

fuckers were promoting them because they had an affiliate program. they are garbage stay away from them.

i warned you.

2MuchMark 12-23-2010 10:16 PM

I've heard only good things about Alert Pay. Maybe what you should do is ask to speak to someone by phone next week. I'm pretty sure they will be able to help you with this situation or at least clarify it for you.

Good luck.

Well there is a site because you're selling links on it. :) I'm pritty sure their anal about this because they got in trouble over it in the past. The allow non-adult sites to accept Visa/MasterCard/AlertPay but for adult sites they only allow Visa/AlertPay. Anyway its no excuse for them to hold your money hostage but I'm sure you'll get it back as long as the person that paid you is legit.

You call $5 once a referral moves more than $400 through them an affiliate program?

GIMME A FUCKING BREAK!! :Oh crap

I have been using AlertPay since Epass went tits up ... and have had no problems whatsoever ... They are actually better to deal with than Paypal IMHO ...

And I am moving $3000+ through them a month ...

I am 99.99% certain there is more to this story than is being told ... but hey, what do I know?!?

:Oh crap

There's absolutely nothing more to the story, I swear to God on that. Was it because I went for a "Personal Pro" account ?? Am I supposed to go for a Business account to get the adult thing ??

When I called up there the last time the guy made it sound like they didn't even bother with adult related stuff, which puzzled me, and he said that since that, they wanted to hold the funds for up to 90 days to make sure there's no disputes, which is just stupid.

facialfreak 12-24-2010 02:08 AM

If you are selling goods and/or services, you should have a business account, and yes you will need to verify a refund link, TOS link, support link ... etc ...

AlertPay - being based in Canada, are governed by some of the toughest banking laws in the world ... this is no fly-by-night operation, using a Curacao bank which they own ...

Most of the safeguards in place with AlertPay are there FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY ..

If you are selling goods and services, take the couple hours to get your webpage in order, and you will save yourself a lot of hassles, and your money will be much safer than with Christopher Fucking Mallick ...

Yep you just need to follow their rules, which they are kind a stupid but once you adapt to them it work pretty fine.

Okay,

I guess you didnt read my report :
https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1001998

First, I have registered and been having suspicious phone calls and eamils from alertpay, my clients also had such calls from them.

Once they became happy, clients confirmed i do designs they stopped calling and started working. When I tried withdrawing via certified exchangers they declined everything!!! I was only able to withdraw to my bank card and payoneer card.

Now, they blocked payoneer card and Payoneer is investigating why.

Withdrawring to a debit card take ages ( 4 -5 days).

I have ordered AlertPay debit card, yes, i was offered to do so, paid $69.90 thought it would be Fedexed in a week, fuck no, they say be patient its in trial , hipefully in January....

Most likely I'm dumping AlertPay due to this attitude.

You emailed a bunch of webmasters pushing your "$300 Footer Link Deal" and you put every email address in the TO field instead of the BCC field. So you violated you potential clients' trust by exposing their email addresses to the world.

Oooh, I'm greatly sorry, I never realized the harm in doing that, but ya, that makes sense, I guess it's a lesson learned and it'll never happen again. I don't normally have to send out bulk emails, but when I dropped the prices, I just figured it was easier to do that, but I guess I was wrong.

MasterM 12-24-2010 12:50 PM

still waiting to get that 0.01 cent to my creditcard.

Slick 12-27-2010 10:37 AM

I just got off the phone with them and they told me that ALL adult funds are frozen by Visa, unless they have some kind of history or agreement, so I'm not sure what you guys are getting. I have to wait 90 days and that's it.

bolsex 12-27-2010 12:41 PM

they hold me about $3k in 2006. Still wating for this funds to be "released"
I can see they are still making this shit so I just dropped them from my business and no more payments will be taken by AlertPay.

k0nr4d 12-27-2010 12:46 PM

I got a payment from a client, it took 9 days to get the money wired out... I also had to go through the same shit. The funds are released but it definately gave me a scare and im not using them again unless its the only possible method for someone to pay me. They saw my site, saw that i'm a developer and had no problems.

you can do bulk, but like he said: use BCC (in outlook you need to switch it on first)

I just read on talkgold how they froze funds on every new customer till they verify is funds ok or fraud, and then later you can do business without problem.Since they considering a lot of various business as risky business, then no wonder why they doing that.

icymelon 12-27-2010 04:57 PM
