Mac rules PC right
I have used PC computers my whole life. Getting a iPhone opened my eys. I plan on buying Mac products the 2nd half of my life. Whos with me on this! I am so over viruses, spyware, and all the BS that goes with PC.

not me ! lol
fucking hate macs, tried them a couple of times.. |
I would say in all the years that I have had a computer I have only gotten a serious virus a couple of times and it didn't take me too long to fix. I keep an anti-virus software on, updated it all the time and run an anti-spyware once per month. If it does find something it only take one mouse click and it is clean.
Here is what don't get with the Mac. Maybe I would never have to worry about viruses or spyware and not need software to fight them. But I'm not a designer nor am I involved in music of video production. So would a Mac make my life all that much easier? Don't Macs sometimes have issues running some software? Aren't Mac versions of some software more money? What about a Mac would make my life easier. I would be open to switching if I saw a real legit reason for it, but it seems to me the main thing about a Mac is that they are pretty virus-proof and they look cool. But I don't know if paying 3-4 times as much as I would for a PC for those things is worth it. |
Well I am extremely well versed in computer and network security. I don't even run anti virus, and have not gotten anything including a keylogger. Not everybody has this ability, so I suggest everyone else run Kaspersky antivirus. It's not a resource hog like Norton.
I too own a mac but I think I'm going to run my studio on all CS5 suite including video editing and after effects for titles. The reason being is PC is more cost effective then Mac's are for similar hardware. PC's also have better 64 bit support for video editing and rendering particularity in the field of GPU rendering acceleration, [nVidia CUDA] which makes a HUGE difference when rendering several HD scenes a week. I'll stick with PC for main stuff and my Mac Pro Quad G5 or other things. |
I'll admit the 27" iMac is pretty nice. Probably best for a video editing beginner. Garage band is also a nice beginner application as well.

The ONLY reason that the spammers, scammers, kiddie coders and other interent assholes have not targeted you idiot Mac users is that you have until recently occupied such small share of the market. There is nothing in OS which makes it immune to anything; it's just that you and your fellow arrogant Mac users haven't been worth the time to fuck with. Now that you are up to over 12%, you are worthwhile and the nice part for the bad guys is that most of you are so flippng arroagant that you don't even bother to install firewalls and antivurus on your pathetic Apples. Most of you will wake up one morning and find yourselves relegated to the 1960s as your Macs will have been turned to taost. They ran the tests a few months back and everyone laughed. They were ONLY testing and they learned and learned well. Mac and Apple are soon to be done in and done in hard! |
I LoL'd :1orglaugh

Get a MacBook Pro, you will never look back.

<IMHO>I can choose from a wider variety of software costing half as much and doing twice as much on a PC. </IMHO>
|
Mac's amazing.
|
From what I can see here, Mac users are certainly not as angry as PC users.

I'm a bit skeptical about Mac OSX.... but I do think Apple are leaps ahead of everyone for build quality... unfortunately their hardware is underspecced....
|
PC n Linux = da shit.
|
The people in Apple's marketing department are experts at what they do, just like the guys in Harley-Davidson's marketing department. They've both created an impressive brand loyalty among their users, for products that may be different than other things but they really are not "better"

I use 2 laptops now...one regular and one mac. I work mostly on mac, not because I think its cooler or something...it is just better to work with and much quieter, I can't hear a thing most of the time.

I have Windows but I have used both Mac and PC and I prefer Mac just because it's easy to use. Might get a iMac when I get to LA then I will have both PC and Mac. :)
|
I know some people using Mac. Always trying to tell me (never asked them) how Mac is good, although they have problems with compatibility.

I like Mac and use Mac for everything production and it works great for me. I dont care if people switch over or not. In fact i hope people choose not to switch, because then Mac users become a bigger target for Virus makers. At the end of the day if you plan on doing a lot of work on your machine, get what you feel is right for what you do at the price you want to pay for it and call it a day.:2 cents: |
