I can afford to shell out a sale worth the commissions for a little GFY entertainment. I'm not looking at buying a recording studio. I'm sure USB is a step up from built in laptop mic either way. :1orglaugh

I understand what you are saying, but I'm just thinking that usb is not the way to go, a mic that plugs into the mic jack would be a better solution, usb for audio can be glitchy.

The mic I'm looking at right now appears to support both options, it seems to have both sets of cables running out of it. Maybe it's just powered by USB. I'll take a closer look though before finalizing anything. Thanks for the tip. Wouldn't want to buy something then find out it doesn't work.
