Camera experts please help
Ok so as some of you know my wife is expecting. We have a crappy point and shoot camera now. We want to get something with a high speed shutter so we can take pictures faster for when the baby is born. Manual focus would be nice as I do not always want to use the auto focus. Budget is not an issue however im not going to need a high end camera I rather not waste money on more then I need.
I have heard some good things about the cannon rebel t2i and t1i. Are these any good? is there something comparative that would be better? |
any mid range nikon or canon kit will be fine. nikon has a better flash system. -b

1....DO NOT use flash in the delivery room. 2....Set the cam at 1000- 1250 iso 3....Set the White balance to " Florescent " which is most likely what will be in the delivery room. 4....set the aperture to around 2.8 to 5.6 depending how much light is in the delivery room. 5....set the shutter speed around 250 to 400 and you will not get shaky pics 6....Use 16GB 300X or faster Compact flash card Trust me on this.. The Canon 5D MkII does not get produce grainy or noisy photos until you hit 1600 or higher iso. You will be so pleased with the results. You can shoot as fast as you want and as many as you want, especially if you do NOT use flash. RENT the camera Canon 5D MkII with a Canon 24-70mm 2.8L |

BM and I are personally Nikon guys. Congrats on the baby:thumbsup |
I should have been clear. I have no intent of taking photos during the delivery. I am looking for pics for after the birth. Thank you for all the feedback I just wanted to make sure I was on point with the t1i or t2i but now will also look at the Nikkon. Thank you all.
