A husband who suspected his wife was having an affair faces up to five years in jail after reading her emails without her permission.

Leon Walker has been charged under tough anti-hacking laws aimed at preventing identity theft in the US.

The 33 year old had suspected his wife Clara was having an affair with her former husband.

Yeah it's bullshit. I'm not sure what the marriage laws are where he lives but in many states stuff you own belong to the MARRIAGE. For example a spouse can't steal a car that belongs to BOTH of them. Could he land in jail if he had opened her snail mail that contained love letters? I've never heard of such a case.

i hate articles like this... with out reading the shit I am sure this is an obvious case of getting in trouble for hacking an email account and not for reading his wife's emails.

The guy says he found her password laying around somewhere in the vicinity of the computer. Even if he did hack into her account it was hardly about identity theft.
