Ever seen ipads used in a retail environment?
 

Like as restaurant menus or a sales aid? Just looking for ideas:pimp

On photo yes, there was a wine card viewed using an ipad at a restaurant.

I kind of think people might be too stupid to use them. I have barcode member cards at my gym and some people can't figure out how to scan their cards.

Yep. The girl at the Apple store used hers to take my order.

Saw it at Gucci, you could browse their collection/catalogue. It had the same as their website, so you can zoom in and turn the shoes around etc. Pretty neat.

writing software now for utility meterreadings etc.

There's a couple restaurants I know that use them as menu.

There's one shoe store down here in Brazil that also uses them, both for entertainment (close to the cashier line, with games, for you to play while waiting) and to show their entire collection.

You can get filemaker pro databases onto ipad so any retail use is now possible.

i have to ad that its kind of useless for this work, to heavy and big. Smaller and lighter pda's are more preferable for this kind of work. But its Ipad, its hot and they want software for it.
