Zombaio Announcement

Quote:

Dear Client,

Due to pressure from MasterCard we are enforced a rolling reserve program on our merchant accounts with 5% for 180 days. This is by a PM, dated 2010-12-17. The reason for this is that the size of the account is massive due to the forecast we have shown. The development for Zombaio went a lot better than planned.

Zombaio has the last 3 years been able to offer the adult market reserve free accounts, but that time is unfortunately over now. What we however are discussing is a reserve roof limit, which makes the 5% go down over time to in our hope 0.5% ? 1%.

The reserve we are implementing is 5% for 180 days effective 2011-01-01 for all clients accepting MasterCards. For clients *only* accepting Visa, there will still be 0% reserve. For clients with a current 10% reserve, this reserve will remain.

If you rather want a fixed reserve, instead of the rolling, please submit a ticket in the ZOA.

We are looking forward to year 2011, with 24/7 support, new payroll programs, EFT payouts, ACH payouts end EU direct debits. This will help you earn more money on incoming transactions, and save a lot more on outgoing payouts or payroll.

My very best regards,

T. Anderson
Seems change is a coming. :winkwink:

I would think that having that reserve IS good.

I'm already used to it between year with Verotel, and my own merchant account.

I honestly thought this was going to be the Zombaio announcement about them no longer paying the $750.00 VISA fee. They had hinted that would be going away soon.
:Oh crap

marktruman 12-28-2010 08:51 AM

I hope they start allowing eu direct debits asap, would more than make up for 5 percent

will76 12-28-2010 08:56 AM

I wonder if Mastercard has any other changes in store for wallet / debt card companies.

Off topic, but Zombaio missed a payment due on the 22nd of this month. I emailed and they said that payments were running late due to holidays. This is a wire payment, not sure how late they can run... but 6 days seems pretty unlikely.

The amount wasn't substantial, but the fact that they're starting to miss payments makes me nervous. I may be opening up a CCBill account again...

Xxaru Media 12-28-2010 09:18 AM

Hmm... so does that mean they'd be reserving 5% of just MC charges, or 5% of all charges for anyone that accepts MC?

All good things come to an end...

Vendzilla 12-29-2010 07:19 AM

Zombaio has been doing prety good for me, saw the memo, only 5%.

woj 12-29-2010 07:24 AM

could be worse, 5% isn't that bad..

BIGTYMER 12-29-2010 07:49 AM

Did anyone get the 12/27 wire?

PornAddict 12-29-2010 08:59 AM

Here's what they told me when I asked about a payment due on the 22nd

"We had some technical issues with the file uploading to our bank, usually this isn't a problem but with the holidays it caused a delay.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, you should receive this wire later this week or at the latest in the beginning of next week."

arock10 12-29-2010 09:14 AM

how I understand it they also raised the low volume processing fee to 8.9%

So in a week they jumped from 4.9% to 8.9% + 5% reserve... thats a big jump

Bait and switch tactic :Oh crap

Despite that the signed contract says 4.9%
This move does not look good.

That isn't cool... at all. That is total bullshit.

Weekly gross volume Rate (%)
0 - 1000 8.90 %
1000 - 25000 7.90 %
25000 - 50000 6.90 %
50000 - 75000 5.90 %
75000 - 100000 4.90 %
100000 - 150000 4.90 %
150000 - 200000 4.90 %
> 200000 4.90 %
