I'm an NFL fan, and I lost most of my respect for Favre when he pulled his first, "I'm retired...no, I want to play" routine. The Packers spent the offseason prepping for an offense without Favre, then he decides he wants to come back and they should drop everything and cater to him? Fuck that arrogant douchebag. And it's been like that every season since. He acts as if he's a football god, and every team should jump to have him and meet his every need. And he acts as though he's untouchable.

I think his punishment was light, but I understand the situation the league was in and why they handled it the way they did.

As for Farve himself, he kept coming back to football, saying he still had it in him. And each time he was more past his prime. He's proven himself to not be worthy of respect anymore, but that he is an arrogant, self serving twit who doesn't know when the right time is to leave gracefully.
