Which is the better way to get exposure and sales with $3k budget?

use the budget to get your own traffic always your traffic #1, get money from your traffic and use that to make your site better, when people see you have a nice site with lots of content then they'll promote it

I think if I had that situation, I would put that money in buying advertising on really well known tgps, tubes, blogs...... direct adverts and also top gallery listings

This way, you can make direct sales from that traffic, and also other webmasters should see your adverts, check your site, and maybe join your program to push you too

Post on boards, do free pr stuff such as AVN.com and XBiz.com and keep your $.

free pr stuff for webmasters, spend money on traffic from asian sites, don't bother with brokers, hit up owners directly.

I've bought top spots on large TGP's because once upon a time I thought it would work too. But, take it from me... I've lost thousands of dollars doing this.

To answer your question, don't spend your money on anything except for design work and content. Be frugal with it. Always put content first. Traffic can be generated yourself, WITH the content, and the most valuable traffic you will ever obtain will be at no up-front cost to you.

If ratio is going to be 1 : 50k, it is still good I think as the traffic source is free and don't need to pay for the bandwidth. You have to do it the smart way, do NOT go through brokers, that is where you'll be getting ripped off. That is where people go to spend their "overflow monies" and everyone knows this, thus overpriced everything at those!

The suggestions given in these thread proves that there's no ONE and only method to make a certain project work I guess.

With the small budget of $3k ( compared to the ad spots price listed ), the money might just disappear into thin air before I know it :(

A lot of trial and error as what I can see based on the suggestions given.

I must admit I am surprised that no webmasters are strongly rooting for promo that rewards the webmasters. This proves most of the suggestions are sincere and honest! :thumbsup

Can you build something yourself?
Like use the $3000 to hire some blog builders, type some texts and post some pictures. Should over time generate more free traffic for you than a single one time ad buy.

UUGallery's server license cost $450, with that you can pretty much setup an unlimited amount of blogs and easily post images. You can even hire someone to do it for you. For $3000 you should be able to build a decent network for yourself, no quick result right here right now, but probably better over time.

Since your webmasters are the ones with traffic it would be best to create a $$ promo based on sales created - don't just give them TV's etc but straight cash.

On popular sites you don't need to buy spots instead you may be able to arrange a % of sales with them along with banner exchanges

Blogs are being build as we speak, but am looking for a fast solution for now. So far am liking the suggestions given and almost everybody is discouraging the use of the $3k budget :thumbsup
