You don't know what you're missing..

All you PC/Windows people need to take a look at Apple/Mac. I have both a PC and a Macbook and I was able to boot my Mac, log in to GFY and type out this entire message way before my my 3.2GHz PC with 8GB of Ram took to boot Windows.

2MuchMark 01-05-2011 08:35 PM

I can now post a second message to GFY and my 3.2GHZ PC is STILL booting... wow..

pristine 01-05-2011 08:40 PM

you're doing something wrong.

AzteK 01-05-2011 08:41 PM

no shit - mine boots like SNAP

when your apple boots, then what? You're faced with operating system that assumes you're too dumb and simple minded to know any better.

BJ 01-05-2011 08:45 PM

if it takes that long for your pc to boot there are bigger issues then it just not being a Mac. Hell, even my pc at it's slowest with a very outdated CPU (Pentium D 3.0ghz) boots up way faster then that. This is NOT a pc vs mac thing, or pcs are slow and they suck. This is a "your pc is fucked up" thing. You need to see what it is that's slowing your pcs down that drastically. Virii, malware, spyware etc.. etc..

JBlack 01-05-2011 10:15 PM

mehh ... my penguin box kicks serious ass when it comes to boot time... not to mention I am packing some serious SOLID State goodness...

Mr Happy 01-05-2011 10:36 PM

Fuck all MAC geeks, apple would put the apple logo on a fucking brick or pile of dog shit and you would still buy it

TheDoc 01-05-2011 10:44 PM

Sounds like you should have updated to Windows 7 64bit and a Solid State Drive. Much cheaper than a Mac and all performance issues will be gone.

I'd consider getting an Apple but I'd be afraid of turning into an uppity prick.

ottopottomouse 01-06-2011 05:49 AM

Why the desperate need to justify your purchase to everyone?

I haven't had to turn my PC off for months. What else you got? ;)

Tom_PM 01-06-2011 09:26 AM

My Tandy 1000HX had MS DOS in ROM. You'd flick it on and see the A prompt.

candyflip 01-06-2011 09:45 AM

I have a store bought HP that runs OSX as well as my Mac Pro desktop that cost almost 4 times as much.

Buy what you like. Configure it any way you choose. Let others do the same.

grumpy 01-06-2011 09:48 AM

put your pc in hybernate, apple uses the same technique

Amputate Your Head 01-06-2011 10:05 AM
