i know its hindsight and all of that but you need to use escrow service for domain transactions, even 500 dollar domains. i've used escrow.com in the past with 100% positive results and i imagine they are still pretty good.

Yea but I have talked to the guy on and off and had projects with him and known him in this biz for 11 years+. I could have bought the whole stuff for $5k or so and not use escrow :(
