Help with Windows Live Movie Maker
 

when I put an .avi video in to edit it, it creates a huge black border around the video.

anyone know how to get rid of the black border? theres no options or anything I can see so I can have the video take up 100% with no black border around it

you have the wrong template loaded

I didnt think I had a template. I just drag the video into WLMM and it comes up with a big black border around it

WLMM sux pretty much the old one was ok for some stuff, but did you check the right view there are two options widescreen and standard 4:3 thats it so you might have some space.

The best advice on Windows Movie Maker is to use something else besides it.

NP I used to love the older WMM for basic stuff only thing that sucked was limited placment of watermarks and no sound when scrubbing video. Otherwise its a pretty great editor :)
