Custom Sex Toys.... A good idea? Or bad e-commerce?

It's a very interesting product where you can customize dildos and butt plugs.

I wanted to know what you guys thought of such a product and could it be the future of sex toy retailing online?

I think I'm sleepy and tired today but do you think the average bimbo can design and use that interface?

The interface seems pretty intuitive. And in general I think at this stage of such technology it's definitely for a very specific audience. I am just wondering if this could be the beginning of consumer goods that authors such as William Gibson have been writing about for years.

Looks like it's made for those who already have like 10 sex toys and know exactly what they miss & want.

Prices seem a bit steep.

I don't know. When it comes to high end sex toys, pricing has a lot to do with perceived quality and perceived value. There are some gorgeous well made toys out there that retail for over $300.00 and they aren't custom. I think they could do well targeted to the market that wants something more than "novelty."

good idea, but they payed alot for desinging the site and make it work and now it is showing on prices...this site is fail, though idea is good...

I think you've nailed it, customization is starting to surface and this is a very good idea.
