Who else hates Namecheap's new buggy design?

1. It's buggy. Doesn't work in older browsers. (Fact)
2. It's fugly. (Personal opinion).
3. It's decreases productivity.

:2 cents:

darksoul 01-07-2011 03:50 AM

not really liking it, but I guess Im change resistant. It will take some time to get used to it

CurrentlySober 01-07-2011 03:52 AM

I've seen it, but have not needed to do anything using it... Yet...

MrCain 01-07-2011 03:57 AM

Looks like a 5 year old with no design skills was in charge of that.

Oracle Porn 01-07-2011 04:13 AM

the adult industry in notorious for loving changes. </sarcasm>

Vendot 01-07-2011 04:28 AM

My opinion is always "why change what aint broke?"

They pop a window asking for feedback so if you have a problem with it, make sure you send that feedback and let them know, otherwise youre stuck with it ...

Sarah_Jayne 01-07-2011 04:45 AM

I keep saying no to trying it out. Much like the new Facebook profile format, I will let others get it first and then move over when I have no other choice.

EVERESS 01-07-2011 04:49 AM

Well.... "CHEAP" is it's Last Name :winkwink:

Marshal 01-07-2011 04:50 AM

i hate it. loved the old one!

Lamis 01-07-2011 06:59 AM

no problem with it.

What i don't like is the new twitter desgin, its so slow and it hangs all the time.

Ace_luffy 01-07-2011 01:53 PM

designs not but...

docputer 01-07-2011 01:59 PM

Like Sarah, I keep saying no to the new version. I did try it in IE, and didn't care for it, and wrote and told them what I didn't like.
I am sure, soon we will be forced over.

Indeed.

In this case, Namecheap broke the functionality of their site by trying to fix something that wasn't broken.

so you liked their old ugly design that was all squished together? :1orglaugh

HomerSimpson 01-07-2011 07:31 PM

+1 hater of new design...

Si 01-07-2011 07:37 PM

I like the lighter brighter and bigger look.

But the login box gone from main page sucks. And I was getting errors earlier aswell.

cam_girls 01-07-2011 08:14 PM

I always use namecheap because of the simple pre-go-daddy-more-gloss-than-floss designs out there.

Oh well, knew it wouldn't last.

Any useful service on the internet... don't ever count on it.

Caligari 01-07-2011 08:17 PM

yes i am also not a great fan of their buggy design!

Forkbeard 01-08-2011 12:56 AM

The NameCheap Marketplace changes broke all my links to existing sales.

And you know what else? The new design does not expose "adult" domains (anything you checked the adult box on when listing for sale) at all. There's no longer a checkbox to allow searching for adult domains, and they don't show up in any searches or listings. They are completely invisible, and apparently unavailable for sale.

I submitted a support ticket first thing this morning, they forwarded it to their engineering department, then no response. It's staying busted apparently.

cam_girls 01-08-2011 01:14 AM

I own namecheapsux.com

Might set up a forum... but nothing too drastic, I registered it at namecheap!

alsdesign 01-08-2011 06:26 AM

Mail problem is the new design is slow, possibly different database used?

Also why did they drop the frontpage login form?

CaptainWolfy 01-08-2011 06:38 AM

yea i hate it too :(

cooldude7 01-08-2011 07:29 AM

old was best, simple.

nico-t 01-08-2011 11:20 AM

dont have a problem with it

MrCain 01-08-2011 11:27 AM

You can use http://classic.namecheap.com if you want to avoid the shitty new design that's full of bugs.

EVERESS 01-08-2011 08:45 PM

I'll admit I use godaddy...

Even though their interface is HORRID...

And the chicks they pick for hundred million dollar superbowl commercial spots are equally horrid. I mean WTF... The company is either run by women or gay men

Danica Patrick is the only one I have been able to look at for more than a glance
