Solid Script for stopping brute force attacks & password hijackers.
Anybody know of a good one?

These insane Chinese f*ckers were going to town on my server- overwhelmed Pennywise and iProt with a gazillion proxy attacks. Switched to a program called Trackman, cut my bandwidth almost in half.

Where can I get TrackMan.

Another good one is StrongBox which blocks spoofers as well. You can email Ray at [email protected] to find out more.

Password Sentry is a pretty good script. Easy to setup and manage and it is pretty cheap.

We use Pennywize on all our stuff - we are close partners - but it always does very well by us
http://www.pennywize.com Their new version 3.0 kicks ass with proxy attacks. Robert. |
ya, where is that prog kiko? And they took down pennywise? I thought they were immune to that.

http://proxypass.com/ rocks for us
|
proxypass is the way to go

Check this one out. It does it all and does not kill your system resources like some do.

It's here: http://www.siteextreme.com/main.htm you just have to ask them about it. If you just need some basic brute force protection there are a lot of basic scripts out there- if you have a REALLY serous attack problem or users with a tendency to share passwords (Asians) Trackman is the way to go.

I'm just wondering, is there any advantage to using more than one of these programs at the same time? Say, pennywize and stopthehacker?
