What is the Best Canadian Beer?
Any thoughts?
|
|
Kokanee Gold
Make sure it is the gold one. |
Best Canadian is an oxymoron.

Tree Hophead
Okanagan Springs Pale NBC Paddywhack NBC Faceplant Maudite oh, and yes, of course Pil. Have to love Pil... |
The best Canadian is a dead Canadian.
|
Oddly enough, I'm pretty sure the last Japanese 6 pack I bought was brewed in Canada...

I literally just got done watching the movie "Strange Brew" (for the first time, I might add) so this thread is especially ironic. After the movie ended I was wondering what the better Canadian beers were. Good stuff!
|
Driftwood beer kick ass! Especially their Satori fresh hopped ... mmmmmm

i don't know what canadian beers are best. i just drink cheap shit like coors, which isn't even canadian. i had a moosehead once, it was pretty good. i might have to try out a few mentioned in this thread sometime. |

Tho I'm certain in Canada they produce licensed Heineken too, so Heineken it is. |

IMHO i would say Sleeman, Creemore or Keith's.

IMO, Sleeman makes the best mainstream, widely available beer. And their not so mainstream offerings like their Fine Porter are great too. And if you're after a light beer their light actually still tastes like beer.

Clearly Labatt Blue.

Fort Garry Ale is a quality micro brew. I prefer the dark over the pale ale. They've won the "best in Canada" award at least once in recent years. Brewed right here in good ol' Manitoba...
http://www.fortgarry.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Garry_Brewing_Company Rickard's Red is nice too. |
hard to find blue anywhere anymore though. or boh.
