CNBC Presents - Porn: The Next Big Thing?
http://www.cnbc.com/id/41040391
This is a slide show from the AVN awards with quotes from various porn people from Joanna Angel to Bree Olson about what's trending in porn now. Bree Olson mentioned something about doing scenes with 2 and a half men;) |

The CNBC slideshow in my mind just is another step in the direction of adult becoming more accepted by the mainstream. Not a huge step, but step none the less. |
Somone owes Charlie Sheen a paycheck !
|
Tons of people are interested in porn. That won't change, ever.
|
AVN has always had a lot of mainstream traffic at their shows. I remember going one year and seeing Martina Warren signing autographs at a booth and I skipped the line and went to give her a hug and nearly got mauled by two very large black body guards. She just waved them off. As if I'm to stand in line to say hello to someone when I've gone skinny dipping with her in her pool at her house.

lol at the answers... 3d, meh...
It reminds me of the Simpsons when they go to the duff brewery. We got nothing. Mobile is big now, what else? |
thanks for that link!

but, cool story bro... :thumbsup . |
I concur with Joanna Angel when she says:
"I think things that are becoming a lot more community oriented. The wall of the porn star is breaking down and I think we?re moving in a direction where there?s a lot more interaction between fans and stars." That is why I have been busy developing a multi-party chat solution that will allow pornstars to host global QA sessions with their fans and earn revenue per minute on each incoming call:pimp |

One pornstar mentioned doing webisodes more, which is interesting.
i dont know if i've seen a site with webisodes for porn videos yet. for the couples crowd i could see soap opera porn happening. do it just like soap operas but get rid of the soap;) |

PV was also on gizmodo.com and other great mainstream press sites. I think it actually has been a huge step that we have seen and I think that it's mainly due to the technology associated with adult. |

Porn is the oldest trade since man walked the earth.
The next big thing is a service that allows people in these hard economic times to make money from their homes. Cams... escorting and such... adultwork.co.uk is a successful case in point... although their site looks crap. Why spend money on models when you can empower people and take a slice of their earnings. That's what makes sense in this economy right now. And lets face it, Cams and escorting offer a very personal experience. If you want a quick fap... then google is your friend. |

I wish someone would start making orgies and reverse gangbangs again, like they did in the mid 2000's. That would be a nice trend.
3D, eh? Who gives a fuck? I'd rather see something hot in 2D at 320x240 with crappy compression about ten times more than some mediocre porn in 3D. Desperate producers are grasping at the 3D gimmick, forgetting to make a good product. |

Also there's the situation of providing new content to affiliates. But while people think adding 3-5 scenes a day that are exactly the same as the 1,000 scenes they already have good luck with getting the funding. The reason we never went down the custom route was simply financial. NO online business was willing to pay $1500 for 1 solo girl scene, they wanted 3-5 for that money. |

Let it rest for once. Cinema Erotique has some excellent pre-recorded content. I doubt they'll make enough money to buy West Ham, but I'm sure they're doing fine and it's clear they're serious about the artistry of the craft. And by their doing so, they are helping the industry move forward much more so than is someone who is constantly whining on GFY. |
Actually yes, I have to admit I've noticed that attention to porn has been increasing within the mainstream community over the past few years. Here and there I bump at articles and interviews of people associated with different areas of Internet business from ISPs to marketing services, mainly mainstream, and many of them bring up porn as a means of popularization of certain technologies amongst consumers and that it's porn what will dictate multimedia formats in the near future.
It's nice to see porn finally being recognized as real business. |

I'm sure a few sites are doing well by picking up others traffic, throwing more traffic by giving away free porn AND by having an excellent product. Unlike many I don't think of today or even the past, I reminisce a lot, when I'm planning business. I look down the line 2-3 years from now. But if you look at what a lot of these people are saying they're saying LIVE is the way to go. |
anyone doing porn webisodes like the pornstar mentioned?
i'd like to check that out. |
Hollywood still won't let porn actors in SAG. Which is fine with porn producers because they won't have to pay residuals.

A reverse Gangbang scene with Higher end girls will cost money. Girls = $5,000+ Boy = $500 Shooter = $500 (Getting a cheaper one isn't sensible, might be best with 2 shooters) Location = $500+ (Unless the sponsor has one) Plus make up and other expenses it's going to cost $7,000 and rising for 1 scene. A cheap 3D camera costs what and how many scenes can you get out of it? Anabolic could afford the normal type, one girl and 5 guys, but looking at their site it seems they don't shoot much Gangbang scenes now. Evil Angel did a few reverse Gangbangs and they were hot. I've seen some cheap scenes shot in Russia but they were crap. As for orgies, well a lot of features had them at the end of the film. 3-5 couples and a couple of shooters recording it. My very first porn scene was an orgy. The director saw I had a hard on (I was helping the crew at the time), asked if I wanted to join in and the rest was easy. :winkwink: |
countdown till two and a half men parody..
