New Internet ID System? Or an excuse to spy?
http://www.businessweek.com/news/201...istration.html
...another one http://www.pcworld.com/businesscente...usted_ids.html I think this would give the government too much power as far as individual data. I think this would be pretty over reaching imho. |
Let me give that some thought.....
Hmmmmm..... OF COURSE IT IS TO SPY ON YOU!!! It's also to gain more control. |
It's to stop piracy and CP.
Sounds brilliant to me and I am sure it will work. |
i dont get it, isnt there ssn already ?
|
Yeah - the world governments definitely recognise that they need to gain greater control over the internet - especially after the wikileaks incident. But at the same time, they recognise that the web is a major source of revenue - which is why they will try to monetise different facets of it... just like they do now with taxes.
In short, this is great if you want to prevent piracy - but at the same time, they will be spying on your activities. |
...and this is becoming reality and i have not seen one television news network cover this as of yet.

The amount of damage that can be done by a single person using a computer in a public location can be huge. Imagine uploading a virus and taking out the entire Internet for two weeks. Imagine what that would do to your online business.
