Do you pay your models cash, or via company check?

They don't do checks here, so cash.

combination of wire transfer, company check, cash or pay the agnecy

I shoot primarily first-timers who are very leery of a check. And with all of the dumbasses pretending to be porn producers I don't blame them. So, I pay in cash but I get their SS# and 1099 them.

Total minus any "insert pill of choice here" that were advanced before the shoot.

Company check only... I wouldn't to carry large amounts of cash around with me.

I pay with both but when I pay "cash same day" I always get a better rate from the model.

Lightspeed taught me a long time ago to always pay in cash because if you pay by check and the model has second thoughts and never cashes the check then the contract she signed is not valid.

I did when I started almost 13 years ago.

It doesn't really matter because they like cash better anyways. So I benefited either way.

Cash - They sign for receiving it as part of my paperwork package

say 500 by check or 300 by cash 9 times out of 10 they pick the cash...

sign the check over to yourself baddabing... made 200 bucks on the deal

When you pay by check they just want to be dropped off at the nearest check cashing place anyway.

Yeah, this is the biggest reason I don't write checks anymore. Also, the check cashing places always wanted to give me the 3rd degree calling and asking questions such as:

"What was this check written for?"
"What was the type of work done?"
"Is this someone that you know personally?"

and once a check cashing employee even asked me...

"In order to complete this transaction, we're going to need your PIN number to your bank account..."

That's why I have them sign a receipt, upon receipt of the cash.

Thats what i do. I use cash same day pay as a bargaining chip for a better rate.

Girls also no-show less when they know cash is getting paid out after the scene.



LA producers very rarely pay out cash same day. Company checks are the norm in LA.

Get photo and video of you handing them the cash.

I write a check, have them endorse it to me and give them the cash

Check, & out of an acct specifically for talent. This way they cannot claim they were never paid, & you only leave just enough in the acct because sometimes you get models adding zeros.

Bingo. Been doing that for years and they always go for cash (together with ID and reciept of course)

I always offer cash to help make sure they show up... if its an agency girl and I'm paying them more than a g - I pay by check to W9 them... All the big companies I have shot for pay by check
