Why do people pour there beer into a glass?
Just wondering, I tried it out of the bottle and then out of a glass and the bottle tastes better and holds it's carbonation longer.
|
Bottles are always best!
Hate drinking from cans more than from glasses though... |
Bottles are the best
|
so you can pick the finger nails out
|
when it hits your lips it taste so good
|
Real men drink out of a glass. Typically a chilled glass, but occasionally a non-chilled glass...
Short answer: different glasses add to the drinking experience. Adwords Riddled Article: http://articles.sfgate.com/2008-03-0...ass-beer-duvel |

In the midwest corner dump bars they call the glass a shell. It is like a little juice glass. I have never understood it.

maybe same reason why people eat food from a plate?

Draft beer > bottle beer.

Also, it's a bit less filling when you let some of that carbonation escape by pouring it into a glass. |

If you are drinking good beer you don't have much choice but to drink it from a glass so you can smell it. If you are drinking Bud or Coors, might as well drink it from the bottle.

Restaurants usually use a rinse agent to make the glasses spot free and this can alter the flavor of the beer.:2 cents:
|
To be able to drink faster :)
|
I poor beer in a glass and never touch those beer condoms they use to keep the bottle cold. Mainly so i don't get herpes or something from the 100's of people who touched the beer condom before, after being in the toilet. Also, you don't know if rodent feces or whatever has accumulated under the bottle tops.

|
...because the best beer never makes into a packaged bottle in the first place. Choose draft :)
|
sippin newcastle out of pint bottle, no glass here...

I did it, 'cause I found it hard to get the poo through the narrow neck of the bottle... :2 cents:

Because when it's +35C out, and you can only buy 1 liter bottles, it's best to have your beer in a glass full of ice. :)
|
I prefer drinking beer from a glass as well.
|
so they show they know the difference between there and their.

Because there is no foam in a bottle.
Beer with foam tastes so much better to me. |
We're not animals!
|
because that's the way people have been drinking their beers for hundreds of years.
|
I like to drink beer out of the can.

I don't drink beer so I can't say...
|
|
only someone who does not drink good beer would say this...
As someone else has said, Bud, Corona, sure, drink it from a bottle, its made for it. But actually good beer, that usually is draft and not bottle, drink it out of a glass. Best the RIGHT glass though, they are all different for a reason. Also, the argument about carbonation shows that you do not drink beer with foam on top, you make sure there is no foam --> faster carbonation. The foam is there for a purpose, it holds the flavors in better.. |
I pull a glass out of the freezer every time - you cant beat that!

bottle - unless it's a draft beer

Aren't bottles made from glass?
So drinking from a bottle or pouring into another glass object, right, anyways, I prefer draft in a big glass |
Depends on the beer, I like my guinness stout in a glass, I like my american draft in a cold mug. As for bottled beer I usually drink it fast, so no glass needed
|
Some people make me laugh. Especially the ones that go on about draught-bottle. Gives me something to chuckle about.

I pour into a glass and leave the yeast behind. Then I rinse out the bottle and get it ready for the next bottling day since I make my own. Bottle conditioning is an art unto itself practically. Check out some home brew forums with these questions.

Different size glasses are key to the experience |
Nothing like a beer in a chilled glass/mug
|
The neck of a beer bottle is covered in dirt and germs. If I can't get a clean glass I make damn sure I wipe the neck down as much as possible before drinking. Yeah, I'm a bit of a germaphobe.
