Bluegravity and Hosthead fell off?

Had a small account with Blue Gravity for years but they screwed up BIG time yesterday... And as such, I'm losing money because of them.

The only thing that has changed is their ownership...

So, I'm trying to move over some of the more important stuff to Hosthead on a dedicated box I've had for years with them who so far have been non-responsive.

I can't accept this kind of service with mission critical stuff from either host... it's not over for hosthead yet (if they respond to me soon), but bluegravity is done...

So, who are the rock solid, never have to worry about any of your stuff with them hosts nowadays?

No affiliate links please, just solid recommendations. Who's the best host?

IMO, Amerinoc for smaller stuff, mojohost for larger stuff

cheekycherry 01-21-2011 04:18 AM

Thanks... Any more recommendations?

Pissed off. Very close to moving out of both of them.

With warm regards and for what it's worth, I have my full business on dedicated with Amerinoc, they have simply never failed me over the years. They are just as great as everyone, including myself, say they are.

The only regret you will have, is not moving sooner.

I just realized this the other day... Blue Gravity changed ownership in September I believe, like you said. Apparently since then, they haven't been charging. I don't know if it's only a few customers or everyone. But now they want to back charge for all of those months.

I have no problem with them getting their money but I think it's a little ridiculous to be so unorganized that you don't have a temporary billing mechanism set up during a transition and then expect to bang your customers for multiple months of service all in one swoop.

Totally agree.

Isn't Hosthead and Mojo the same company now?

CYF 01-26-2011 11:39 PM

zenex5ive is ok. They simply resell fdcservers, you'll get a better deal direct with fdcservers. The network sucked so I left. They were cheap tho, they took epass and the support was nice.

SecuredServers fucking rocks. :thumbsup Everything is stable and awesome support. I've been there for about half a year now and not planning on going anywhere.

icymelon 01-26-2011 11:54 PM

host head has always been great but mojohost just took them over. for mission critical mojohost is one of the absolute bests.
