100TB.com? Anyone use them?

Damn that's cheap bandwidth. Anyone got some comments on their service?

wdsguy 01-22-2011 03:47 AM

would like to get some feedback on this as well.

Davy 01-22-2011 04:15 AM

Yep. I am interested, too.

k0nr4d 01-22-2011 04:16 AM

Most of my clients that got servers there had bad experiences with their technical support and promptly moved. I also never got particularly good speeds from thier network but could have just been my routing. Assuming they can provide what they claim, it might be a decent place to store media files to stream on other sites or something but thats about it.

If you do the math and factor in costs like server, rackspace, electricity, their bandwidht providers, the price is too good to be true.

PornDiscounts-R 01-22-2011 04:23 AM

Very nice imput, thanks :)

pristine 01-22-2011 05:30 AM

They are shitty. They also hate receiving even 1 DMCA.

Agreed. We've picked up a couple of clients from there for EXACTLY that reason.

try running a CDN based on their servers and see what happens :)

mikke 01-22-2011 07:34 AM

checkout 100tb.eu

Klen 01-22-2011 07:53 AM

They suck,i planned to use them for video/image hosting and backup, but apparently now it's against their tos to use them for that purpose. And yes their complaint management is horrible, you could send retarded mail like "omg this site looks like cp"and they will immediately shutdown server(which is why i moved away from they while they were still 10tb).In shortly, this is classic example of over selling bandwidth.

Sounds delicious.

That's one way to take care of the upstream's DMCA requests. Leaseweb doesn't care.

sandman! 01-22-2011 08:29 AM

network is decent but they are unmanaged servers dont expect them to do anything.

and yea if you get a few DMCA's expect your server to be shutdown.

WiredGuy 01-22-2011 12:12 PM

I had servers there for over a year. Servers were good, tech support good but like people said here, if you get a single DMCA complaint, watch out. Even if the DMCA complaint is incorrect/invalid, they don't care. The only response they want is you to take down the files in question. if you don't mind your business being shutdown by a single complaint, go ahead, otherwise, avoid.

you can get same or even better deals with Naked Hosting :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup
plus top quality service and superb user support and they are adult friendly

I've heard horror stories about 100tb about closing the sites on a smallest report (abuse, dcma... just about anything even without contacting the box owner first!!!!)

TidalWave 01-22-2011 01:49 PM

search for what happens when you actually use the bandwidth - you get shut down.

simplecdn

search for that

{Psycho} 01-22-2011 05:49 PM

Their servers are great

Good uptime.. I used to have few servers with them dedicated ones of course

MovieMaster 01-22-2011 05:55 PM

I stick with www.UnmeteredServers.com or www.ReliableServers.com depending on the servers exact purpose.

Simple CDN is indeed gone. SoftLayer and Hosting Services, Inc. terminated their contract and suspend their service on much of their infrastructure in Dallas, Seattle and Washington, D.C. back in December.

That is what I was thinking. Ask SimpleCDN what they think about uk2 group or whoever the owner of 100tb is.

react 01-23-2011 12:54 AM

They used to be pretty solid but recently we've seen terrible network performance.. 12 hour periods of 60% loss to many destinations. Impossible to get things escalated beyond 1st level support.

react 01-23-2011 01:05 AM

.. this is on SoftLayer, btw, nothing specific to 100tb.

take a look at simplecdn, they cut off their services with zero notice.

makefuckingmoney 01-23-2011 12:58 PM
