I know I'm late as far as the products intro at CES but this just dawned on me while watching this video again.

It's only a matter of time until a phone in docked/terminal mode will include a full blown OS. Tegra is ready to roll out a quadcore processor and SSD hard drive prices are coming down.

I think Apple will be the first to truly get there however. With OS X Lion they are starting to merge elements of iOS with elements from OS X. They have built that huge data center and they're heavily investing in NFC technology because they want users home folders to follow them wherever they are. Those are the first steps.

I personally can't wait until I can carry a smartphone around with me that has all of my files, everything is backed up to the cloud (i hate that term too) and all i have to do is plug it into a dock and have a full blown OS in front of me wherever I am.
