OMG! I've been waiting for this since the last Nukem... "It's ass kicking time!"
|
I'm sure the fuckers here in Australia will not sell it on the shelf if it's an R rated game. They can't sell R rated games yet.
|
Time to kick ass and chew gum... and I'm all out of gum!
|
Long live the King, baby

The problem with Duke Nuke'em Forever coming out now is, there's been dozens of awesome, groundbreaking games that have been released since they announced it years ago.
I'll still play it, just because I love Duke Nuke'em and his smart ass one liners, but I'm not expecting to be blown away by anything. |

Duke Nuke'em Forever doesn't look like much and is going to be another cookie-cutter, shitty shooter that everyone will forget about within a week of release. |
Shake it baby!

A delay of 13 years is very long. $20,000,000 in development cash is a huge amount of money. The graphics are impressive. Congratulations, 3D Realms.

Loved that game, hopefully this has good movement.

The brand is so big though that it would be stupid not to release another game with the Duke Nukem title. |

I recently read an article that explained the whole engine change problem. In a nutshell every time they were ready to release there would be some other "ground breaking" 3D game to come out which would put this on hold. They would then buy that ground breaking engine and start over. And once they were ready, yet again another one would come out and the process repeats. So them trying to be ground breaking constantly caused delays. At this point they just need to get the game out there. There's no reason they can't just put out a 3 & 4 etc.. with whatever new ground breaking engine comes out. At some point they may repeat history and get one of the versions to be the actual best ground breaking game. They should have been at Duke Nukem 13 by now, lol. |
About time!
