Twitter rolls out self-serve ad platform to select few
 

It looks like this is the moment of truth for Twitter. After all the hoopla and "will change the world" sheep talk in both the blogosphere and mainstream media, now is the time for the Twitter hype tire to meet the road. Just like with any new implementation, expect some rough spots. The key is how Twitter manages to finetune as it focuses on profits.

Kind of an odd way of doing things. To pay them you have to be asked too in a way. They have been working on their advertising platform for over a year now. If it is not ready to roll out yet something must be up.

They're burning through VC money like something awful though.

Twitter is just spam hell and idiots now.
