Fucking Paypal - It's A Sad Day For The Phillipines

i pay all my phillipinos via paypal and i send the money to them via the personal option.

i eat the fees for the transfer because its like 54 cents per 100 dollars..

last night i was issuing payments and noticed that the transfer fee was over $4 per 100..

i saw that paypal has now made their fee structure the same for all payment options..

so fuck you Paypal... :321GFY

dont you make enough money already.... :2 cents:

what is payplay? :)

RuthB 01-27-2011 02:49 PM

you could always switch to Paxum.. :winkwink: :upsidedow

I'd be happy to chat with you about it if you want to give us a try. We have no problem with the Philippines and our P2P fees are set (not a %) and low ($1 per for business, $0.25 per for personal)

Hit me up, let's talk :thumbsup

LeRoy 01-27-2011 04:36 PM

Still cheap though..

wdsguy 01-27-2011 04:39 PM

are you using masspay?

Ace_luffy 01-27-2011 04:48 PM

i realize that also.. damn

Altwebdesign 01-27-2011 04:51 PM

use masspay get a business or premier account, costs $1 to send as many bulk transactions as you like

Klen 01-27-2011 04:56 PM

Once again take a look at link which i posted to see how crazy are fees now.For example,if you send/receive to Brazilian, you will pay 7.4%.Mass payment is also not fixed anymore fee.I wonder did they removed zero fee for receiver of mass payment.

fatfoo 01-27-2011 05:01 PM

"$4 instead of 54 cents" - that sucks. Looks like Paypal fees changed.

Still cheaper than other alternatives. We take paypal for all our services---copywriting, SEO, links, populating sites, etc.

BlackCrayon 01-27-2011 05:03 PM

as others have said, masspay.

bigluv 01-27-2011 05:23 PM

I dunno how people manage to get by doing business with such bad critical analysis.

The "other" option hasn't changed, it never made the fees free, it just broke them out and gave you the option to pay them or not.

The difference is between using a credit card, your bank account, balance, or [whatever other option].
To a phillipine destination, not that I've ever seen that make a difference on *my* balance sheet. I imagine their local fees on withdrawals and so forth may be different.

AS of right now: paypal from bank account (verified) : $100.50 to send $100
paypal from credit card $104.20 to send $100

I dunno why there's so much confusion about this.
And mass pay, I gather, can get you other low rates, although I don't know from personal experience.

u-Bob 01-27-2011 05:46 PM

Can anyone confirm that masspayments are no longer free for the receiver?

Serge Litehead 01-27-2011 05:59 PM

better than no service at all

marketsmart 01-27-2011 06:15 PM

i am starting to think that Paypal fucked up and took the money from my credit card as opposed to my bank account..

tomorrow i guess i will suck it up an experience the hour long phone conversation to figure out what is going on..

and thanks for the masspayment suggestions, i will look into that as well..

send it to them as a gift.

wdsguy 01-27-2011 08:06 PM

I just sent $250 to my filipino designer and paypal charged me $1.

Get yourself a business account and use masspay(which requires a paypal balance). The receiver does not get any funds deducted from the amount that you send.

Don't be dumb, use MASS PAY to pay your workers!!

Paypal always charged 4.9% (about $5) on the receivers end for incoming payments. That is unless you pay via MASS PAY, then its flat $1 for the sender, $0 on the receiving end ;)

woj 01-28-2011 07:09 AM

It sounds like paypal might not be too thrilled if they see people sending mass pays all the time to one person? did anyone ever have any drama because of that?
