That was a good movie.

Never hear about it, must check it

It has it's slow parts, but overall it was a good film. What a scary world to live in with it's poverty and armed packs of feral kids.

30 years? Try 5 max...

some inner cities are like that in America.

It will take more than 50 years for things to get that bad. It gets that bad after a STEADY erosion of institutions.

I did some volunteer work in metro Detroit in the mid 90s (clean up a crack house! woo hoo). That was pretty bad. However, North St. Louis in the early 90s was straight out of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. I couldn't even believe I was in America it was so bad.

South America is becoming a very scary place. Even countries like Argentina, which are basically European societies (Argentina used to be one of the top 10 richest nations on earth), are rife with kidnappings and high murder rates now.

I think things might get very bad, very quickly, in both the USA and Europe if the economy crashes again. All the ingredients are there - multiculturalism, massive underclasses, gangs...they've just been masked by decades of relative prosperity.

I wish it was just a movie...

thats a smooth ass ride. travel through watts and see if you are still saying compton. you may not survive.

Thanks god I never was in 9th ward. Bourbon street looks much better... course while it's free of gay parades :)
