Some Linkspun trade stats (quality control data). January 2011

Currently as of this posting , www.linkspun.com has 1792 webmasters with 52,028 pages that have engaged in 223,493 total trade requests. Of those 223,493 requested trades we have:

69161 active ,accepted or awaiting links, approx 31.5%
120441 declined or stopped trades, approx 53.5%
33891 in limbo request status, approx 15%

Last update we had - 1288 Webmasters, with 37545 Pages that have initiated 121,935 Trades.

Quote:

38,852 active ,accepted or awaiting links, approx 32% of all trades.
64091 declined or stopped trades, approx 52.5% of all trades.
18992 in limbo request status, approx 15.5% of all trades.
Overall I'm fairly happy with the consistency of the quality, I'm still looking for ways to raise the % of ACTIVE, while not hurting the raw amount of trades requested.

Thanks to all 1750+ of our users, obviously the site would be nothing without all of you. We will crest 2 million for monthly pages served this month, a high that we'll beat next month :)

camgirlshide 01-29-2011 04:38 PM

Well done. I enjoy the service.

camgirlshide 01-29-2011 04:54 PM

I just logged in to view my open trades and thought of two things that I think would help with the ratios:
1) allow a website to be marked for inbound trades only. That is, I have some sites I will never allow links to be posted on, but I have them on your list because I need to in order to have inbound trades. When people request outbound trades on these sites I always deny.
2) all a user to set some parameters for trade allows. For example, I have some sites where I'll only trade with a PR2 or higher user. If a user requests a trade and only has PR0 or PR1 sites I will deny. If I could flag this so the user can find out this information before they make the request it would cut down on the trades to deny.

Hey, thanks for the input, a couple things

That inbound domain you want to set to "Hidden" this way you can point links AT it, but nobody can ever see it inside the tool except for you. You won't get requests this way, but leaves the domain available for you to use. This basically, is the same in effect as you mentioned marking it for inbound only.

And setting the limits is something we played with as well, one alternative you can use if a user does not have enough juice to make it equal, is to Stack the trade, and request 2-3 links back from him to make up for the difference.

We have a few real intuitive things happening and will be showing up inside over the next week or two.

Thanks again!

CamTraffic 01-29-2011 05:15 PM

165 trades so far on it, love it thanks!

Black All Through 01-29-2011 05:21 PM

It's by far the best link building tool that I have ever used, nothing really come close.
Congratulations on the stats.

camgirlshide 01-29-2011 05:32 PM

I never realized you could "stack the trade" That's a great feature!

Miguel T 01-29-2011 07:33 PM

I'm loving it! ;)

icymelon 01-29-2011 07:38 PM

when I request a trade with a pr0 url and they stack it, you can be sure Im going to delete it.

Si 01-29-2011 07:41 PM

almost 120 active trades for me. :)

Raz 01-29-2011 07:46 PM

I've joined. Just still learning the ropes. From what I see LinkSpun is 10x better than some of the other so-called link-trading sites I've experimented with in the past. :thumbsup

Darkhorse 01-29-2011 08:09 PM

Joined a little while ago myself, so far it's great and easy enough to use.

Lamis 01-29-2011 08:14 PM

so adult is in its best moment ever, right?

I wonder why so many sponsors close every single week, why forums are less active than 5 years ago when internet traffic and persons connected to inet duplicated and why ratios went to shit... or why so many sponsors are not paying out.

Or why content licensers like adultlegal.com, worldwidecontent.com, matrixcontent.com just closed their doors.

Really wondering.

Does anybody know?

we get it. you failed at adult. fuck off.

Agent 488 01-29-2011 08:18 PM

do you think adult is dead because linkspun has 1200 active webmasters? why are they there? for the lulz?

we get it. things got harder. you couldn't adapt. but others did.

fuzebox 01-29-2011 09:40 PM

Love linkspun :thumbsup

Link trading used to be a pain in the ass. Now it's an easy, organized part of my routine.

nice sites there

garce 01-30-2011 01:29 AM

I like Link Spun, but I wish I could assign trade parameters instead of just cancelling everyone.

One site I added to Link Spun to check it out:

This site is 12 years old and has Google site links. Search for this site and you get the link to the domain, plus 8 links to various categories and, finally, a "More results from..." link.

There are currently "About 2,220,000 results (0.17 seconds)" for this domain. Its a PR 1, but it gets crawled and cached almost instantly after I update - and ranks in Google's top ten for almost every category I cover.

I laugh at the sites that don't even rank for their keywords that have PR4 and refuse trades with me - so I just made all of my sites invisible.

Link Spun works great if you are pumping out endless, shitty, non-updating sites. If you have an established site and want to fill out your trades - look elsewhere.

Mismanagement, incapable employees, I really don't know, not sure what this has to do with the LinkSpun trade data though either.

Agent 488 01-30-2011 01:38 AM

linkspun is just a tool. it is not refusing trades, people are.

when you request a trade you could have dropped that in the comment box to explain your link trade rationale.

Jdoughs 01-31-2011 07:06 AM

I love LinkSpun, is the best link building tool/service for me!

bloggerz 01-31-2011 11:07 AM

Can u add a feature where it would show that a certain trade request has been rejected so i stop requesting the same trades that were already denied.

Secondly if a user is blocking me then their sites shouldnt show up in FIND TRADES

Besides that i fuxking love it

that would cut down on users blocking each other.

pornguy 01-31-2011 11:19 AM

I have 388 active trades on LS and LOVE it. Also just grabbed up a HELL of a banner spot.

Big thumbs up to Jdoughs.

Yes, you shouldn't see them if they are blocking you, adding this to the active list in our suggestions. It should be like that.

The feature to notify if you've been denied before probably wont make the site anytime soon. Most users deny for several reason but may or may not deny for them same reasons in a week, a month etc.

We don't want to stop people from requesting trades, a denied request today doesn't mean don't request again.

If a denial would mean I may not get the request again, I'd leave ALL requests as requests til I found a way to make it work.

agaysex 07-28-2011 01:07 PM

looks like linkspun and tradespun hosting account is disabled now. is here will updates when it will up again?

PS : why them not using nginx/lighttpd with fast-cgi/php module? This site looks written on php but using apache and was very slow last days.

PPS : is here any simular link trade sites?

seeric 07-28-2011 02:16 PM

Love the site Jdoughs. We use it a lot.

ZeroHero 07-28-2011 05:18 PM

almost 80 trades , nice job dude :)

Jack Sparrow 07-28-2011 05:27 PM

Would it be possible to crank up daily trades to more then 100?
If so gimme a buzz.

PromoterX 07-28-2011 08:34 PM

Used a few of these services before, but LinkSpun is by far my favorite. Congrats guys! Still adding more links and sites to the network! See sig.

marlboroack 07-29-2011 12:10 AM

If you added up all those sites traffic, fucking imagine how your stats would look.

Waiter 07-29-2011 04:55 AM

:thumbsup for Linkspun

A fucking 'men on that first point...was just about to post something about this...a feature to have denied trades flagged so these douchebags don't keep requesting the same bullshit over and over.

Great fucking service!

heek 07-29-2011 03:26 PM
