Domain Management Software??
looking for free domain management software to see when my domains expiring etc.
please spam me:winkwink: |
BUMP - curious if there is such thing ;)

The only script I know of off the top of my head is from http://domainportfolio.us
It's geared towards listing prices for selling your domains., but it lets you list the expiration date and what registrar the domain is with, and you can always put it on an internal-only website. I'm pretty sure I have some more scripts bookmarked, I'll have to reply later when I get home and can check my bookmarks. |
Um... Doesn't your registar do this for you?

Wouldn't be too hard for a programmer to put together a small script. You enter the domain and it finds the whois and enters the details into the database. Or you could do it manually then add other details like link to register login, how much, when you purchased it, expire date etc.

doubt there is a free one that does that

Check out DomainTools. They have a good domain monitoring service that does much of what you seek. And it's is free.
Ideally, one would also want to monitor the registrar whois (in particular for thin registries, such as .com and .net), but that's a lot more difficult to do. For many domainers registry monitoring is sufficient enough, but realize it's not full-proof. On a related note, some registrars maintain their own separate whois data for thick registries too (ie. .org and .info) despite not being necessary. eNom is one that does this - data mismatches are possible, especially if the domain has been pushed to another user within eNom's system - they update their local whois, but not always the registry whois.
