No more IPs! - We're doomed. The end of the Internet.
Not really but what will happen now when they cant hand out more IPs? In a couple of years will datacenters still be able to provide people with IPs?
I've heard there's a long way until we can use IPv6. |
So what blah i have one :D

we are doomed! sell all your internets assets while you can!

IPv4 uses 32-bit (four-byte) addresses, which limits the address space to 4,294,967,296 (232) possible unique addresses.
We have more than enough IPs on our current system. |
We are soon running out of IPs on the "old" system, but there is still a long way to go, because all this talk has startet all over, its actually because they are running out of IP blocks, but there are still plenty left in the block itself, it will be years before we run 100% of of new ips

It's a scare tactic to force ISP's and world networks to invest/migrate to IPv6.
IPv6 has been ready to roll for some networks for years. ARIN has been pushing IPv6 implementation for something like 10 years. However, even with the death gong rings, and countdown clocks the past 2 years few seem to be taking it seriously for whatever reason. This should wake up many and get them moving. :2 cents: |
We will never run out
