Anyone need a Project Manager?
Due to a massive data loss this morning, which put me back by about a year, I'm left with quite a bit of uncertainty. I'm not sure on my best way forward at the moment, but thought I'd put this out there, and see what comes of it. Who knows, maybe karma is real, as I like to believe I’ve earned my share in this life.
So, anyone looking for a project manager? Here's what I bring to the table: Synopsis
What I’m Looking For All options are open, but a project management position. We consult together, you provide me a vision plus team to work with, and I return with the finalized product ready to launch. I’m uniquely qualified for this, as I’m excellent at taking a broad idea / vision, using my in-depth technical expertise plus problem solving skills, and breaking it down into clear and concise specs everyone on the team will understand. With my vast experience in developing large-scale marketing systems, combined with my technical expertise, I understand what’s required to make your operation successful, fully understand what’s technically feasible and not, and know the best way to implement your ideas. This combined expertise also allows me to provide very down to earth, yet modest suggestions regarding your operation, plus allows me to communicate with all parties involved on a level they will understand. What I’m NOT Looking For A software development position. After 10 years of typing code, I’d prefer something different. I’m more than happy to sift through code, find problematic areas, and provide guidance, but would prefer not to get into the actual development. I’m worth more than that. I’m also not looking for any short-time contract projects. I’m looking for a solid and stable position with a reputable company who I can trust, work with everyday, and enjoy ourselves while we all make the cogs of a business turn. Conclusion If this by chance sparked anyone’s interest, please contact me at [email protected]. I would provide a real e-mail address, but am unable to touch the server’s hard drive, as they’re doing data recovery at the moment. Right now, I’m a little uncertain as to what my future holds for me, and would prefer something a little different than typing source code. I’m excellent at what I do, but have lost my passion for it. All options are on the table, so if you have something, feel free to contact me. |
Good luck :)

Good luck man.
Very nice presentation, you wrote. One question: are you looking to work remotely/relocate/local/indifferent? Also, one humble note: You say you are looking for a Project Manager position, but you open your post by saying that you just suffered massive data loss. If this was an interview, my first question would be: why should I hire a project manager with a record of not properly managing backups / disaster prevention. I would then consider hiring you if the answer is convincing. (I hope it does not sound mean - it may actually help you if you clarify, for any potential employer): |
good luck :)

That, and limited resources. I don't currently have the funding to justify setting up two or three servers, just for backup purposes, especially since my operation wasn't even live yet. Call it a hard lesson learnt. Hard drive is being sent to a data forensics lab in Austin right now, so here's to hoping! Anyway, bump for me! :) |
Let's talk :)
