A lilttle dusting my ass.... this is all out SNOW!! [pic]

The weather people said we were to expect rain and a POSSIBLE dusting sometime this afternoon...... I was up just before 8:00 AM and it was just starting to snow, it's now 1:00 PM and this is our "little dusting this afternoon"

Crazy bastards... lmao

http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6247766_n.jpg

Majority of the snow plows are in the ditch..... lots of rescue vehicles, salt trucks and buses full of children... all in the damn ditch!!

Little dusting my ass. lol

PornDiscounts-R 02-07-2011 12:10 PM

But it does look beautiful :)

pristine 02-07-2011 12:11 PM

bet you're blowing smoke out of your ears now.

CDSmith 02-07-2011 12:12 PM

I hate to say it Tam but up here that IS a little dusting.

lol

But we're used to it and prepared for it. I get that there are many States that aren't, so to you it's pretty huge and unusual punishment.

Kenny B! 02-07-2011 12:15 PM

Looks like a regular snow day up here too, we got hit with that Saturday night, great for taking my niece and nephew tobogganing!

michael.kickass 02-07-2011 12:20 PM

That's a lot of snow!

Tom_PM 02-07-2011 12:22 PM

We're up to 130.5 inches so far this season! Thats 10.9 feet or 3.3 meters for the math impaired (*like me, I had to look it up lmao)

Yours looks nice out there in the yard, but once you take the picture you're ready for it to melt arent you? haha.

Oh god yes.. it's been so nasty here this winter and I am not used to it at all. We haven't had this much snow in the past 10 years combined and it's driving me crazy. It's pretty and all that, but enough is enough!! :upsidedow

The fucked part is I got 3 mini horses for Christmas and we didn't think we'd need an intense shelter because it never does anything here.... so now we're having to built it between blizzards and it's making me crazy to watch them all covered in snow. I am told they are ok, but in MY head, they need a warm place to get to, and they don't have it... they just have a roof over their heads with only two sides closed in. :(

Scott McD 02-07-2011 12:35 PM

We actually had snow again today. Thankfully the rain from the day before made sure most of it didn't get a chance to settle...

The ground isn't frozen here so it's just a nasty mess everywhere. They are saying that when temps drop tonight, it's going to be impossible.

We've pretty sell decided that if you aren't in your house, you are sitting in a ditch somewhere. lol

brassmonkey 02-07-2011 12:45 PM

You wouldn't want to live up here then. we got 20-30cms of snow every week since boxing day. I have a 7 foot tall snowbank.. on my back deck! Don't even get me started on the driveway.. even the plow got stuck for an hour yesterday lol

dallasnovelty 02-07-2011 02:29 PM

We had that 2 years ago, we were some of the ones caught in that Great Ice Storm of 2009 that shut millions down and some for months. We had no electric, phones, net or anything for 5 days and some didn't have it for 2-3 months in the very rural areas.

So when you put it like that, ok, I can live with the snow.. just wish there wasn't SO much of it, I've had enough already. lol

It is beautiful to look at though, I will say that. ;)

And all this time I thought you loved me... I would give anything for WARM and DRY right now. :Oh crap :1orglaugh

Spunky 02-07-2011 06:24 PM

I'll take the rain anyday

Rochard 02-07-2011 06:30 PM

It was 70 degrees here in Norcal. No smog, no traffic, no crime, perfect weather.

I honestly don't know how people live in snow.

dallasnovelty 02-07-2011 07:01 PM

When I was in LA last month it was the coldest it had been in a while , same with Vegas. The day we left Cali it was 75 and sunny with a light breeze, pretty much a regular day in LA. The snow we had last week pretty much shut down Dallas-fort worth for a week and hurt all the people that banked on being Texas weather where its 65 most of winter. The ice with 4-6" of snow on top with negative wind chills caused rolling blackouts throughout Texas.

Easy. We don't live "in snow". :1orglaugh

I live in a warm heated house. When I go outside in winter I have this thing called a parka. And a big pair of snow boots. And a big pair of black leather mitts with fur lining. All my winter apparel is rated for -30 to -50C.

Personally I love having 4 completely different seasons. Having it be always summer conditions 365 days a year would get kind of boring for me after a while.

And you haven't lived until you've been ice fishing, tobogganing, snowmobiling, and partied at a winter festival. All I'm saying is don't knock it til you try it because you truly dont know what you're missing, whereas I have been to many hot weather places and know full well what the deal is there. I'll take here any day.

I am the same way, I want my seasons. but I get really sick of them after awhile and I've had my fill of the snow this season....

HOWEVER....

When we have SO many hot days without rain this summer, I'll be here bitching I am ready for Fall/Winter. lol

I don't want to be in any one season year round, as much as I'd like to say I would, I don't at all. lol

leg4 02-08-2011 12:46 AM

I used to fuck snow in Jail.

Chosen 02-08-2011 01:27 AM

It's pretty hot here :)

PromoterX 02-08-2011 04:57 AM

There's going to be some serious flooding come spring this year....

TurboAngel 02-08-2011 05:27 AM

I'm so glad I'm not there.
