Facebook begins its' downward spiral with new picture viewer crap
gotta get all fancy, idiots - one of the main reasons Facebook became THE social network was the simplicity of its design and user interface. now they feel they have to keep up with whatever jquery bullshit is around and introduced a new photo viewer that is complete crap - adds nothing at all and doesn't even have any cool or wow factor.
What u talkin 'bout, Mutt?
I kind of like it but I agree, they should not get so fancy. K.I.S.S. made them worth 10B
looks cheesy.
Never mind your sig takes ages to load btw
Fear change!
Speedier clicks = more productivity.
I will even put hover in my menus now to save users from clicking. |
Their net worth will drop, but as Myspace is still alive, so will be facebook.
Their last profile layout change was a downgrade, the layout isn't as user friendly. Now the new photo viewer. I know they are doing this because they don't want to become stale but they are definitely going backwards.
Yeah Fbook gets more and more ridiculous...
Ok ........
Too many FB threads on GFY lately...
looks ok and still as simple. . . just uses the light box, but remember 90% of the major changes facebook have made people hated at the time. . .
I actually like it, you now don't lose your page when scrolling through pics, or have to open a new tab.
They have to make changes to stay in the game and as we all know people hate changes....its a lose lose regardless of what they do.

i don't like it too, fucking likeaprogram shit

It's a mistake many companies make... redesigning their site without actually adding anything beneficial or fixing any bugs.... just like namecheap, moniker,...
end result: users have to relearn how to use your interface (never a good thing), more bugs, slower pages... and all of that gets ignored because there will always be a couple of users that like any kind of change and their feedback will be used by ignorant managers to justify their own actions and the money, time, effort, resources spent on the new design. |
It's not as bad as the Gawker blogs "makeover".
I love it. Easier to view pics. Some of you are haters clinging to this board worse than a 14 year old facebook whore. lol
If twitter plays their cards right, they'll crush Facebook in the same manner Google crushed Yahoo.
"It's" = "it is". Always. As in, "It's gonna piss some people off there's a grammar lesson in this thread.
The possessive of it = "its". As in, "Facebook begins its downward spiral with new picture viewer crap." "Its'" is never correct to use in any circumstance in the English language. You may now carry on. |
i think it's way better than the last one.

hopefully they will upgrade it again soon. I hate it. a lot of people agree it sucks
I think the issue is they took a good gallery viewer and lightbox and cluttered the shit out of it and took it back five years.
It's literally got to be THE worst example of a lightbox I've ever seen on a website. |
facebook is already a piece of shit to begin with: sheep who give all their personal info to them, without getting anything in return. Nobody gives a shit about your life

I concur.

Zooms me back to 2006 when the Lightbox first reared it's head when that Massachusetts kid whipped it up.
It was cool back then but now it's cheesy and obtrusive. Kind of annoying. |

added marc emerys account, same city, two mutual friends, blah blah
FB told me that i didn't actually know the person, and my trying to add his account would be considered 'spam' call that what you will. |

Twitter is text messaging the whole internet about the massive dump you just took, Facebook is writing a story about it and posting pictures of it. |
If you reload the page, it goes back to the old format.
