Service like linkspun for mainstream sites

I'm looking for link trades and was turned on to linkspun. It's nice, but I'm looking for more mainstream(ish) movie blogs to trade with. Can anyone recommend some good resources?

Thanks in advance.

I'll be opening our Mainstream version of Linkspun to LS users tonite or tomorrow. The only reason it's been this long already is we're working out some tweaks, adding some features, new tables, and the structure for our upcoming features etc, before getting all the existing users in for a quick few days to week before opening for a broader testing with a couple hundred mainstream users.

I haven't made an announcement yet to them as I'm still working on a few things before doing that, it's basically ready, just some finishing things to ensure it goes off hitchless.

It's going to be a monster :)

EDIT - I've checked around and found maybe a dozen sites that facilitate link trading to the normal webmaster (mainstream), I can say with confidence that upon opening and without much addition of features, we'll be the best solution by far.

rofl, I need to add about 300 categories to it, that's one of the 'things' I still need to do before opening to our existing, experienced Linkspun users. haha

About 5-6 users have already found the site.

Sounds good. I'd be glad to be one of the early testers if needed. Keep me posted.

Glad to hear. I have come across several mainstream sites like this, but all of them have sucked. Can't wait to see it.

TheDoc 02-13-2011 06:50 AM

Sweet, I'll jump in on the mainstream linkspun...

I've used linkpartners several times, some pretty good sites in it, lots of shit too.

Mainstream version of LS is already the best trading platform on the market.

Yes, there will also be paid features or plugins built in as well (on both scripts).

But everything you see live and free on linkspun now as a user will continue to be free on linkspun and the mainstream site.

I'm following much the same model, with much the same product, not much sense in changing up what worked.

TeenSluts 02-13-2011 12:32 PM

Will their be any quality control for the mainstream version?

Yes, but I imagine that would depend what your definition of quality control is.

If I only let users that I would personally trade with use linkspun or domains Id only link to/from, there wouldn't be more then 35 users and a couple hundred sites listed.

We don't pick which sites get added, nor which users do, but we set it up so you can sort/search/block out the stuff you have no use for, someone else may.

Klen 02-13-2011 01:19 PM

I was paid member of linkmarket and it worked pretty fine,i reached pr4 on one site with it.

Helix 02-13-2011 01:31 PM

Here is another for mainstream.

You should have filters, for non root domains, pr, etc. Better than just a sorting feature

There is a pinned thread with suggestions in it on linkspun for upgrading the filtering search, definitely give some input on it before it gets reworked in the next week or two. I want to make it as refined as possible without being to redundant.

AmeliaG 02-13-2011 06:58 PM

Interesting stuff.

As much as I like money, no it's not for sale, but I do take it as a compliment you've asked :)
