http://glamourworkshops.com/model/ce...e_workshop.png

Hi gang, just wanted to announce that I'm hosting a Glam/Nude Photography Workshop here in LA on Saturday, March 19th.

The workshop is limited to 15 people and I've already reserved 10 of those spots.

Penthouse Pet "Celeste Star" will be our featured model for the day.

For more info on the workshop, visit: GlamourWorkshops.com

Here's a few shots of Celeste that I shot a while back!

Sounds awesome to bad I can't make it out there. Any good places you can recommend for a novice that is just shooting family pics but wants to know more about how to take well done photos? I bought that t2i for pics of my soon to arrive baby but dont have a clue of what to do with it.

pristine 02-11-2011 12:21 PM

Unless you really want to spend a lot of time learning the in's & out's of photography, I'd say just put the camera on automatic and you should be fine for just about everything. Otherwise, if you want to have more control over your images and be more creative, you should pick up a beginners photography book from Amazon (or some other book store) and start learning the basics of lighting, exposure & composition. Also, look for some workshops in your area that you can attend to get more guidance.

Your DVD was awesome. Thanks again Dean.

Wish I was in the USA for this, I'd be there.

pornguy 02-11-2011 03:42 PM

I will be there in Spirit.

F-U-Jimmy 02-11-2011 03:45 PM

I attended one of Deans workshops a few years back and i must say it was outstanding. No matter how much you think you know about glamour photography i guarantee you will come away learning many new techniques. :thumbsup

Deej 02-13-2011 12:26 PM

Bring back 10 with Dean!

JustDaveXxx 02-13-2011 01:02 PM

Deans stuff is always top notch

Are you going to be shooting all sets outside?

And are you going to just use daylight or mix strobes with daylight?

Just curious.

Learning how you maintain great skin tones though photo shoot to post to final output is worth the price alone.:thumbsup

No, we'll be shooting 3 sets total so at least one will be outside - possibly 2. I'm going to let those attending the workshop make the final decision. I want to include them in the decision making process as much as possible.

For indoor work we'll use strobes and tungsten and for outdoor we'll use strobes balanced with available light and possibly some handheld reflectors.

I agree :thumbsup

Can't be in LA, but would love to grab a copy of the DVD that DWB mentioned.

Where can we find this?

it's not really a DVD. It's a 1 hour tutorial on processing pictures for beautiful skintone.

It's available for instant download and you can check it out @ SkintoneMadness.com

this is a great shot and is one of the "stables" found in Dean's arsenal.
my guess is this one is shot outside, scrim over model, two handheld bounce reflectors for the back/rim light, the main light is large round "octabox".
you will walk away from the ws with know how to do this shot.

Dean is another pornographer who does not get deleted from ModelMayhem

Would love to come but probably short notice for me.

Hopefully I will be lucky enough to attend one in the future :)

They kiss Ken Marcus, Suze Randell and Dean Captures ass. Modelmayhem does not like you and what you do.
You have not been accepted to the "Plastic Club"

DeanCapture 02-16-2011 07:38 PM

Nevermind....

fatfoo 02-16-2011 08:37 PM

Celeste Star is beautiful.

I would like to clarify my statement:

Dean is a wonderful person and an extremely great photographer. Hands down!

I hate how model mayhem picks and chooses who they allow to recruit models for porn.
It is not fair for those of us who are not allowed to network with models on these type of site ala ModelMayhem

Theo 02-17-2011 01:36 AM

Excellent work Dean

DeanCapture 03-11-2011 07:59 PM

Almost sold out on our workshop for next weekend.

Only 2 spots left in case anyone is interested :thumbsup

This is a workshop that I could greatly benefit from, I only wish it was being held in Portland Oregon as I am stuck here for the next few months. :(

Please let me know if you plan on taking these workshops on the road, as I am sure any classes up here would fill up quickly, as there are no workshops of that type available to people up here, thanks!

Not sure if we'll be taking the workshop on the road but I am planning a live webinar series that we hope to launch very soon. I'll post an announcement here as soon as we're ready to launch that.

Thanks!!!

Hey Dean,

I emailed you about something I'm working on last Friday - I know you're busy but please email me back, call the # in the email or ICQ me @ 40361994 :winkwink:

If you can't accommodate, I completely understand - but I'd like to chat with you for a moment anyway.

Thanks in advance,

J

2MuchMark 03-15-2011 02:52 PM

Hi Dean,

Wow this is a really good idea. If I was in LA on that date I would definitely go. Have you thought about offering this kind of thing at trade shows? Personally I love taking pictures with my Nikon D80 but almost never get the results I want, even with pro lighting and makeup. A course like yours would really help me and a bunch of others out I'm sure.

Good luck!
