Good inexpensive handheld video cameras
After over 10 years, my JVC has finally failed me and won't record anymore video so I'm stuck with just a picture update this week....Anybody have ideas on a good camera and where I could purchase it?....I'm looking at overstock.com now.

In a pinch I wouldn't be ordering online. I'd just run down to BestBuy and pick up one of the Canon VIXIA units for $600-$1000. I've got one and it's served me well for a number of years. As long as the lighting is good, the footage looks great.

Yes after I posted that, I decided to look at bestbuy's website...I guess i'll go pick up a Sony handicam for $330 tomorrow...I don't need a lot of bells and whistles as I just shoot average amateur hoes in the back of my van.

http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921666073263 I think you'll need a wide angle attachment as well for shooting pov stuff or close, like inside a van... get a good one so you can focus through it... this should last 3-4 years or more... BTW you can go straight to HD but I always use cards... |
I have a Sony HD cam that I bought 2 years ago and am looking to off load. Hit me up if you are interested.
