Warning for Windows 7 users
if you do decide to install sp1. please do the following.
make sure you have no language packs installed other than your default one. make sure you disable your anti virus make sure you disable your firewall. some crazy shit has been happening to people that didnt. results you can see: http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&so...&aqi=&aql=&oq= I had to restore to earlier and do all that for the system to come backup again. hopefully this will save some people some time. :thumbsup |

ugh, almost installed this on one of my machines the other day. I think I will wait for the service pack for the service pack to come out.

happened with me since i had a large portion of the lang packs installed and on 64bit

wasn't aware there are language packs for windows, russian keyboard layout comes with standard win install as many other languages. there are language packs for office though - for spelling and thesaurus as far as i know |

If anyone has a bunch on language pack installed got to the Start Menu and type LPKSETUP. In there you can uninstall all unneeded language packs.
