I had said on another forum about a week ago that I really hate being so reliant on goog traffic. Then this shit happens.

Luckily, I have my SEO 'eggs' spread across the google 'basket', so the hit I'm taking now in my network is not as bad as it could be. I've been pondering for weeks on ways to generate solid traffic that is not so dependent on G. Just can't figure it out (yet). Facebook is definitely not the answer though :1orglaugh

One my top earner blogs get most of its traffic from FB. G traffic crashed but income remained steady due to the focus on social media viral posts.

my guess is that's not adult...?

I was searching for something the other day.

wanted something I could "resell" so I searched for "what I wanted with resell right" and "what i wanted with resale rights" and found fuck all.

So I went to yahoo and found it on page 1. Around the number 4 spot.

They really haven't got a good search engine at all at google, yet it is the most used :mad:

They said 13 of all links are effected. We still have number one for adult web hosting , almost ten years now.

Finally, all my years of hard work is paying off with this new algorithm. Always use original content such as text, images and videos that are not on another site. Update everyday, multiple times a day and leave your comments on.

Where? I gave up after 10 pages ... "adult web hosting" ... both google.ca and google.com

Not just original content but original robust helpful content. It's about time to stop making pages specifically for search engine consumption and move towards keeping the visitor in mind and actually trying to offer them value, which is what people should have been doing in the first place. People are bitching but honestly, Google's algo change is probably better for the net in general.

Yep. Viral and useful info. If people want a clue as to what people viralize/spread voluntarily, just check twitter. A little extra time and effort pays off over the mid-term. Sooner, with this algo change.

Somehow I agree with you bro on this one... Google SER gone shit muchos since a good while, and not only web results are pounded but also image results are screwed big time as well. Uh oh... I guess big G knows what is he doing... all in all G has monopolized the market so even if G put big shit on its homepage ppl will still click on it no matter what.

To some extent this might push them to rely on human raters more. This opens up a new can of worms.

I used to be able to do some basic common sense SEO and my sites would rise to the top in time because they were relevant. Over time Google has been adding in all sorts of penalties to get at spammers and that has been changing. Now you basically have to do extensive SEO to be sure you won't get caught in a penalty and even then, who knows. In my opinion this doesn't bode well for Google because a "natural" index is better as opposed to one filled with a bunch of companies and spammers SEO 'ing the hell out of everything.

I agree. Surfers sign up much better on pages actually made for them.
But as we all know, the bottom line is that they have to find those pages in the first place, and that brings us around full circle to making sure the googlebot likes them.

Naked hosting has been there the whole time. I have seen them above below. Smart marketers over there.

I have to say though surprised to see different in so many places. I remember one time about 4 years ago for a couple months it was gone completely. That's Google always changing we could be gone tomorrow.

Seriously? Don't know what kind of traffic you are getting or what kind of place you are trying to send it to but I have found that my SE traffic converts insanely well.

It has hands down been the best source of traffic for me in terms of conversions.
