Google working to restore 150,000 erased Gmail accounts

More than 100,000 users of Google Inc.?s email service had their accounts accidentally deleted, including all records of sent and received messages.

Gmail is a free, advertising-supported webmail, POP3, and IMAP service provided by Google. Gmail was launched as an invitation-only beta release on April 1, 2004 and it became available to the general public on February 7, 2007, though still in beta status at that time. The service was upgraded from beta status on July 7, 2009, along with the rest of the Google Apps suite. As of November 2010, it had 193.3 million users monthly.

Fuck glad it wasn't my account that's a few years of saved mail that would have gone away lol

I'm safe but a couple people I know got hit. Free email though you can't complain and if it erased everyone's and went down for a month it would still be better then hotmail, or anything aol or comcast.

Google apps for domains is the tits.

Someone at Google should tell Roy the janitor to stop surfing for porn on the email servers.
