Google Update on 2/24/11

Anyone else notice the google content farm update on Thursday?" It really screwed me, dropped 3 of my main sites from the SERPS. Please post your sites that have been penalized by google, maybe we can find something in common to fix this.

All of my sites have unique hand written content, in no way a content farm.

hdporno.org

First assumption and most likely the case (I know at least 2 of the above sites) is that it wasn't you that got devalued for being the content farm, but sites in your link neighborhood.

Backlinks would be the obvious (meaning you lost weight big as they devalued THOSE sites) but it also can be from outbounds and the whole 'neighborhood'.

In my opinion, I wouldn't do anything to quick, see how they tweak the algo, keep consistent on the content and links and try to pull a few more strong links to boost them back up.

Thanks for the recommendations, always looking for good solid hard links. I switched up the title and some of the h1's on the page to make it a little more fresh, but not doing anything to drastic yet.

Thanks again

Changing stuff like that can easily get Google to drop all the traffic they send you and make you regain it again, trust me I've done it a lot lol. If you can change back anything you did a few days prior to losing the traffic you should be able to get your traffic back the next time they cache your site(s).

I agree. Too soon to really see what's going on.
