Hello Spencer, welcome to GFY. :-)

First of all, congratulations on your new site and affiliate program. The best way to create an effective affiliate program launch is to first have the promotional tools affiliates need and at a reasonable amount because announcing one with no or few tools an affiliate may use might turn him off from promoting your program.

It works the same as if you were promoting your own paysite. You have to entice the affiliate as you entice the surfer to join your program and promote it as well as your site. I have signed up to your program and have taken a look at it.

The fact that you offer a good amount of banners at different size and shape is excellent because affiliates may use them of blogs, free sites, galleries and any other means to promote you easily. But on the other hand, you do not offer much contents to use to promote your program. In this case, I would suggest you to make more contents available. A dozen galleries would be better to start of. Afterwards, you could offer one or two new gallery every few days or every week. If you do not wish to offer your latest contents to affiliates for promotional purposes just yet, you may offer contents that are a month or two old for example.

Once done, you can promote your affiliate program by making a one time announcement in the main forum of a message board, then, post your promotional tools updates in the announcement forums onwards. If you do not have time to do so, you can hire an affiliate manager that shall not only do this for you but also manage your affiliates in assisting them with their needs. Depending on the agreement between you and the affiliate manager, you may pay him either with a monthly salary or by increasing the revenue sharing percentage he perceives in promoting your affiliate program.

Another good way to promote your affiliate program is to contact model-related site owners directly if they are not yet an affiliate of your program. Additionally, some sites offer to feature you on their homepage at a prominent position, similarly to being featured as a magazine covermodel. One of the sites that I know do this is LemmeCheck. The site owner is a friend of mine and his site is catered to models like you.
