NEW WORLD ORDER OF GFY: We need moderators. Please Suggest someone or even yourself.
 

With the New World Order of GFY one of the main issues we as the new owners wanted to attack was the level of quality around here. We came up with some ideas as to how to improve this issue and one of them was increasing the number of moderators here.

Off hand we are going to need 2-3 (more) to start. But with that comes the issue of whom. It is vital I feel that these be among the people of the community. Members with integrity and whom are respected.

We would like to hear from you the Community as to who you feel would do a good job. You can name nominate someone, you can also say why you feel this person is a good fit as well if you like. You can also name yourself and also as to why.

Post count wont weigh in but it is important they be an active member. We want someone who is part of this community. Also join date would also be important for we would like to have someone who has been here for at least 1 year.

This will be one of the many ways to help improve this community and it's integrity for years to come..

Id be perfect since I have no alliances or friends on here...so ass kissing will get little more than a chocolate chip on your nose. I can clean this shit-hole up once and for all and start enforcing some of the rules that some mods tend to ignore

Does GFY seek to remain a place where people can post most anything or seek to be something more focused?

Before considering appointing more moderators, figure out what the mission of GFY is and its target market.

If GFY is intended to be "just business", most of the posts on here are off-topic - the mods will be overwhelmed trying tame it - it would likely take a rebrand and user purge to accomplish that...

So I assume GFY is intended to more broadly focused, but how broadly? In my view, that needs to be pinned down before assigning more mods, etc.

What are the mod duties and what is the new focus of gfy?

Do make content shooters and webmasters mods, they will ban competitors out of spite and rivalry.

Mods should be people who only moderate the REAL GFY RULES. They must remain objective, fair and impartial

I would vote for someone like Punker Barbie, Cameron Adams, Kristen. Just by their character I can tell they would make great mods.

Would I get a secretary?

I want to change my nomination. I now feel that Paul Markham is the man for the job. He was moderating forums like this over 70 years ago. Even though moderating forums these days is harder than the old days I feel he is the best option in taming this unruly and lawless community.

Besides I think he is part of the BP4L crew. People like boneprone or any BP4L like faction will not be a part of this community.
