I hate cops thread.
 

Like the title says. I hate cops, anyone else here hate them as much as me? I just got my 3rd bullshit ticket in 60 days. Never had a ticket in my life before that. I called the cop a douche.

Fight the ticket, cops often do not show up in court. I saved about $500 last year by showing up in court 2 times and the officer was nowhere to be seen:thumbsup

then make sure and not call them when you are mugged/robbed/burgled/victimized.

Don't speed and you won't get a ticket. Pretty simple really.

I'm sure you won't call the cops when someone breaks into your house, or steals your car then, right ??

here in CZ they're pretty relaxed

If you call a cop in Toronto because you've been robbed or attacked good luck getting anything done. For robbery or theft they don't even show up anymore, same for accidents. I always can find a few hiding behind our local plaza asleep.

Every morning I watch them sit in the same spots writing the same bullshit tickets instead of going after crooks.

Cops suck, bottom line.

Cops are the biggest criminals on the planet.

If you don't like the revenue generating roll that most cops now have to preform you need to really pay attention when you drive. Sucks, I know.

Just the other day I got off with a warning.

I still have a strong dislike for the concept.

Individual cops vary though, some are nice.

With internet you can do research and fight by mail.

Once I did research on the net and found out the sign I alledgedly disobeyed did not meet legal requirements for shape, size of letters, etc. Submitted protest in writing, case dismissed.

Years ago me and my girl were driving in Texas in the middle of nowhere and the cop pulled us over. He said we could pay the fine right there. When I asked how much the fine was he said, "How much ya got?".

Cops love showing up to court. It's 3 hours of overtime for a ticket. They make 200 bucks for showing up.

I like cops because of all the bitching that people do about them. Gives me something to read about.

The police are a necessary evil.

But they should introduce personality tests for applicants in order to weed out the power hungry psychopaths (the majority).

In most places they have to pass a psych evaluation to get the job. I have a friend who was trying to be a reserve cop and didn't pass the psyche evaluation because she recently went through a divorce and was told that she was still too mentally fragile and ungrounded from it.

This doesn't mean that someone can't lie on the evaluation, but there are some buffers in place to help weed those people out. Contrary to popular belief most cops are not power hungry psychopaths. I personally know a lot of cops and I would say only a few of them out of the dozens I know are what I consider "cowboy" cops who think they are John Wayne cleaning up the scum.

That's only on their off days. If they are on duty they get the same pay, and they often don't show up because they get tied up with another call and can't make it to court on time...

Cops are criminals. They steal, they lie, they don't care about protecting the public. And if one of them gets exposed, the so called good cops all lie and cheat to cover his ass.

I dislike bad cops. Met plenty of good ones, but unfortunately there are a lot of power trippin' bad apples.

I don't hate cops. Cops can be a lot of help. Chances are low that a cop gave you a ticket that you did not deserve. In my life, I paid several parking tickets. I think that was fair.

same cop might have caught a crackhead sneaking in your yard at 3 in the morning with an axe and handcuffs and you would never know..

Some cops are just dicks and you can't help but hate them , but overall i think cops are good and obviously serve a purpose, without them we would be like somalia.

Of all the runs ins I've had with cops (mostly speeding) and stories from friends about their encounters I'm pretty sure the key to getting off easy with a warning or something is just being friendly/talkative/funny with the cop. I hate them all with a passion and give off a shitty attitude straight from the getgo so I can pretty much understand why I never get away with anything. I'd rather take the ticket than pretend like I like a pig.

I actually love the cops out here. They're all corrupt and greedy, but they're cheap, and generally offer a very pleasant experience. Getting pulled over for a traffic violation is a very seamless ~30 second experience.

You get greeted with a pleasant smile, he whisks the $7 out of your hand in no-time flat, followed by another polite nod and smile, while you go on your way. Customer service at its best!

If you behave like a knob when they stop you they aren't exactly going to be nice back.

Some cops are cool I think I would be a cool cop. I would let like 80% of the people go.

I think cops should just respond to 911 calls. That's when people actually need them.

Speed limits are set too low anyways, and practically everyone drives 75 miles/hr. in 65 mile/hr. zones. And they enforce speed laws arbitrarily.

If people teleported from point A to point B instead of driving, the cops would have to do real law enforcement.

I don't hate the police, I hate the idiots who create the laws and dictate how many police will be allocated to enforce stupid driving offences as opposed to the number to look for real criminals.

They are the real problem.

Most cops would of been criminals if they didn't find that lucky job.

ACAB forever, cops works with criminals every day and after some time they usually becomes one of them, except they are in uniform.

i wish the good cops wouldn't help cover for the bad ones all the time. makes them seem just as bad. they act like they're gangsters or something. if a cop sees another cop doing something wrong FUCKING REPORT IT!

Say NOTHING to them at all, otherwise it will in fact be used against you.

Do not say anything good nor bad to a PIG/COP.

I ALWAYS talk to the cops when they pull me over.

whatever it is i've been pulled over for has been some sort of mistake, not like i'm a criminal and have to hide anything. and i admit to whatever it was i was pulled over for and many times, this approach works to get me a warning, no ticket.

Wish there were more good cops getting crazy assholes off the street and roads.
