Program owners and new signups Emails

When I have campaigns rocking I turn these emails off. I don't need dozens of them a day. When I first start with a new sponsor or create some new project I often leave them on as I tweak settings before the set it and forget it phase.

One thing I don't like about these emails is the consistent lack of usable information.

If you are going to send me this email it seems to me that you should include everything I am going to login to find out.

A referring URL would be sweet.
The campaign I sent them on would be amazingly useful and yet many sponsors don't include this basic piece of information.
CCBILL sponsors such as Panchodog should tell me I sold Ariel Rebel so I don't have to login to find this out.

The point being, if you are going to offer this service you should offer it so complete that I don't need to use another service of logging in.

I love those emails, but I agree, more info is always useful.

I don't care what's in the email.

It just lets me know that the sponsor is actually still alive in most cases.

Besides, they want you to log in anyway to see their new promos etc...

I love those emails, but yeah, it would be great if they would contain more useful info.

I love those emails! It's best when they come in multiple times per minute.

It's not that hard to show full details in NATS either... Program owners should read http://wiki.toomuchmedia.com/index.p...late_Variables :2 cents:

Hmm - interesting thread.

So something like

You've got a new sale for X site. It came from X SITE OF YOURS.

jml23 03-07-2011 07:54 PM

you make a good point!

I get these from NATS programs and it almost 100% of the time says what campaign it was from. Would be nice to see a ref URL though.

Fuck ccbill don't even get me started.

I send out a personal email catered to each new affiliate, I'm sure some find it annoying but I'm just trying to let them know I'm here if/when they ever need something.

this is cool and hot :)

Referring URL would be nice. Most already have the campaign.

I noticed that my "You have referred sale" emails from CCBill starting including more detailed information in the last few months which they didn't have previously including which sponsor the sale was made from and the commission amount.

I mentioned including the referral url in a conversation here with CCBill a few months back when it was brought up. They opted not to do it however to their credit they did add a bunch of other things such as the affiliate's cut and the name of the site. That is a lot better than the way it was before.

Yeah that changed due to a thread here where people asked for it. I forget which thread that was or who started it.
