Best voice software for MD?
 

Hi folks,

I have a member with muscular dystrophy and he's at the point that he's no longer able to type. His main social circle is online, so this is very distressing for him. I know there are a few webmasters on here who use various accessibility software to get around these hurdles. Any recommendations for a fellow on a budget?

I'm using this program. Price is right and accuracy about as good as it gets. Don't know of anything else that is comparable.

Are you on 10 or 11? I can't see if there's a huge difference or not between them.

Elli I can tell you or your member anything that you would want to know and would be happy to do so. I'm still on 10, see no reason to go to 11. You can get this software for about $50 at a few different places, I can show you where. There are also other software/hardware packages available that would literally change his life, but they are much much more pricey.

Yes, not too much difference between 10 and 11. I am on 11. I read a review that did say no need to upgrade from 10 to 11.

My webmaster is in the same situation....she cant move at all and uses a stick in her teeth to type .....recently this has become too difficult as well so last month she got both http://www.nuance.com/dragon/index.htm and http://www.naturalpoint.com/smartnav/products/4-at ( lil pricey but she said its fantastic)
